Originally opened as Lyons English Grille in 1945, in 2014 the building was purchased from David Lyons and after a complete renovation we re-opened in 2015 as Mr. Lyons, a homage to Mr. David Lyons.

Mr. Lyons features steakhouse classics with a modern edge. Be transported to a bygone era when jazz standards, martinis and steak ruled the day while enjoying modern luxury and innovation. A classic steakhouse with a menu that puts local small farms first, delivered with impeccable tableside service. This is a top notch restaurant. Loved their wine selections! The star dishes that we chose were: French onion soup, Coachella corn, Filet mignon (ask for it rare if you want a red center), and the sticky toffee date pudding. Thank you for a wonderful evening with superb food!

We were a party of 5. 3 people got their steaks. 15-20 minutes later the other 2 got their steaks. The 'apology' comp was ONE mocktail that the person didn't even want but felt pressured to order while she was still waiting for her food. For a $400+, this was the worst experience ever.

Had friends in from Canada and they absolutely loved Mr Lyons. The cocktails, the meal and sides and the service all were outstanding. We generally bring guests here as we hate chains but more importantly, we can’t think of a better steak house than Mr Lyons. Well done (again)

The ambiance is beautiful and zen. The service was good but sommelier did not really know their wines. Asked for leathery, chocolate, velvety heavy long lasting tones and was recommended a very fruit forward berry light bland red from Spain. Why did I agree? Not sure. Maybe I was adventurous. Maybe the bravado and confidence of the sommelier but the output did not match the behavior. The steak was good but for the price point it was very over rated.

Great vibes. Incredible staff and teams. Incredible drinks. Let’s be honest: Horrible food. You go here for the plot and to see and be seen. Will return but know what you’re getting into.
