                                                                                                                                We went there on Thanksgiving Day and had excellent service. They had a Thanksgiving menu but we ordered off the daily menu and the food was excellent.

                                                                                                                                We were seated out in the courtyard area on a night where it was fairly cool. It was more like patio furniture and the seats were not very comfortable. The waiter was nice enough but was very slow because of circumstances. The food was good but not enough to outweigh the other things that were going on. Under the best of circumstances it would probably be a very good place to dine.

The pumpkin pie was especially good. Although the server was slow, she did her best under the circumstances, since all the servers seemed overworked.

                                                                                                                                The Charred oysters were over cooked, however the service and food was great. We enjoyed our lunch experience. This was not our first visit to the Cookery. We have spent time sitting at the bar eating oysters and drinking a beer in the past.

She was attentive, made excellent recommendations and never made us feel rushed in spite of it being a busy holiday. The vegetarian jambalaya, fried pickles and red fish with hollandaise sauce were well prepared. We would definitely come back.
