Located in downtown Cincinnati across from the Aronoff Center, Nicholson’s is a restaurant and bar serving fine food and drink in a genuine Scottish tavern setting. Taking inspiration from the public houses found throughout Great Britain, our goal is to provide our guests with authentic hospitality and a brilliant dining experience. In addition to high-quality food, we offer a wide variety of beer, wine, and spirits featuring one of the best selections of single malt scotch whiskies in the area. Our family of restaurants has grown in recent years to include two new concepts: Horse & Barrel Bourbon House and the Backstage Event Center located next door from Nicholson's Pub. Horse & Barrel is an award-winning whiskey bar with 100+ whiskeys and bourbons, specialty cocktails, craft beers, small bites and a friendly bourbon-loving staff. The Backstage Event Center is a private event venue hosting rehearsal dinners, weddings, cocktail parties, corporate events and more.

                                                                                              Because of the show at the Aronoff the restaurant was packed and the servers were working hard but it did take longer than normal to get our orders taken and food served. However all our food was very good! Thanks for getting us to the show on time.

                                                                                              We went to Nicholson's after seeing Les Mis at the Aranoff. We got out of the show faster than expected, and Nicholson's was able to seat us well ahead of our reservation time, despite being quite busy. They had a menu with features celebrating the show, and the food and drinks were delicious. Would highly recommend.

                                                                                              My family & friends thoroughly enjoy eating at Nicholson's Fine Food & Whiskey for a majority of reasons. The food and variety of drinks are fantastic and we love that they create a "special menu" based on the shows at the Aronoff which is directly across the street. The decor makes you feel like you are stepping into another country, the staff is professional, courteous and very accommodating. I highly recommend checking them out. You won't be disappointed.

                                                                                              We enjoyed the back room area with the fireplace and less noise. It felt cozy on a winter night. My shrimp and grits were wonderful, especially when you consider that its a Scottish themed place. The Bourbon Creme Brule was delicious. The wait time for food was short and the service was very good.
