Noir is that rare thing - a genuinely relaxed and friendly neighborhood restaurant that also happens to have award winning food and service. Recently renovated, the restaurant's chic style, elegance and warmth make for that perfect romantic meal for two, or a group of friends or family.

From humble beginnings in 2011, Noir has slowly developed a reputation for uncompromising quality and grown to include a beautiful bar and dining room upstairs, ideal for corporate and private functions.

Our kitchen led by chef patron, Peter Roddy, offers playful takes on regional French food, where exceptional produce takes center stage. A seasonal menu of outstanding Australian ingredients are sympathetically handled to create visually striking dishes of terrific flavour.

We have going to Noir for some years now, currently on a Sunday. The food is always consistently excellent, tasty and this Sunday just past, I had a gnocchi with Wagyu beef ragout that was delicious and that hint of sweetness, the best I've had. The wines are always well thought out and we never have trouble choosing something to either match the food or our palate. The Sunday lunch (our usual) offers a wide choice, Sunday lunch special, a tasting menu or al a carte, lots of back and forth on what to choose. Can't recommend it enough.

Super Long wait for food. 45 mins on mains. It was great when it came but 15 mins past too long, a real shame. Price wise it’s up at the higher end of places on that street.

Great value fine French dinning experience with a community feel. The degustation menus represents great value with dishes to be expected at a far greater price point. Fantastic wine list representing both local and French options. Don’t miss out on trying the champagne granita oysters. Will be back for sure.
