With simple ingredients and bold flavors, Normandie has created a name for itself within the Central Eastside’s lauded food scene. Normandie is a neighborhood bistro that combines French inspiration with the bounties of the Pacific Northwest. This was our first visit to Normandie and we were quite pleased. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching all the action. The menu focused on small plates; we tried 7 dishes and all were well made, seasoned to our liking, served hot, and with little delay. We will go back soon.

The food was creative but not delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Loud thumping music made it hard to have a conversation.

We had the perfect dinner. Brut Rosé, Oysters, chicken liver mousse, Ken’s Artisan bread with delicious butter, crab beignets, steak frites and a wonderful carrot cake for dessert. It was pure pleasure. The service was stellar, the music fun and the atmosphere lively. It was a Monday night, and the place was hopping. Can’t wait to go back!

One of the best dining experiences I can remember. The food was incredible, the staff amazing. For fine dining, I found the prices to be reasonable. Will be back for sure.

Wow. Every dish here was spectacular. We started with oysters and the crab beignets, then segued to the Hamachi crudo, beef carparccio, oxtail dumplings, and short rib gnocchi. We finished with the chicken liver mousse followed by the bread pudding. DELICIOUS!! Nice wine list and great selection of liqueurs. Service was impeccable. I love this place!

The dill dipping sauce with the fries was very nice - a fresh change from ketchup. The food was delicious and well-prepared. The mini-Madeleines for dessert were adorable!
