Tucked into the heart of downtown Manhattan, the counter at Noz 17, A Michelin-starred experience with only seven seats, transports guests into an ethereal space that is as much a performance as it is a meal. Chef-driven and prepared in the Edomae style, Chef Matsu's omakase menu brings guests on a journey through the far reaches of the traditional sushi palate.

Chef Matsu previously helmed the Ash Room Counter at Sushi Noz, our sister restaurant on the Upper East Side. Drawing on some of the same techniques seen uptown, Matsu-san elegantly prepares each bite of this free-flowing menu that organically intertwines nigiri and otsumami.

Chef-kok Junichi Matsuzaki leidt je door een degustatiemenu van 25 gangen in Edomae-stijl. Het menu verandert dagelijks en bevat seizoensgebonden ingrediënten uit Tokio.     On April 9, winemaker Melanie McIntyre of RAEN Winery joins us to present a special omakase menu by Chef Matsu paired with RAEN's Sonoma Coast Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. One seating only at 7pm! Tickets are $750 per person, including dinner and the wine pairing. Reservations for this experience are final and non-refundable. Please note that, given the nature of our menu, we cannot accommodate any dietary restrictions.

    100/10 experience, felt like being back in Japan. 6 guests total in the restaurant provided such personal and intimate service. Food was outstanding and so original and creative. Could not recommend more for adventurous eaters looking for something really special.

    We had a very enjoyable meal at Noz 17 ! Chef Matsu-san offers a wide variety of subtle flavors and master-crafted niguiris that are perfectly balanced !!! Congratulations !

    Matsuzaki san is awesome! Almost all fish come from Japan and ingredient is super. One of best sushi place in the city. If you want Edo experience this is the place.

    Pretty good nigiri. But for this price I expected great nigiri. The brown rice was a surprise—can’t say it’s my favorite. This was on the same level as other sushi restaurants costing much less than half. Maybe an off night?
