During the low season (from July 23rd to October 13th), we operate with 2 service times: 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, and we close at 4:00 PM.

High season hours (starting October 15th) will be 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, with closing time at 5:00 PM.

To make a reservation, the system requires a non-refundable prepayment of $120 pesos per person for round-trip boat transportation. This amount is not refundable in case of cancellations or no-shows. If you hike in or arrive by your own boat, this payment will serve as a deposit and will be deducted from your bill on the day of your visit.

By making a reservation, you acknowledge and accept our reservation policies. Please visit our website for more information.

Please note; our weather and waves can change on a moment's notice. We may have to cancel the water taxi and close the restaurant if the waves are too high. This only happens occasionally but if we do you will receive a text on the phone number you leave with open table.

You can access Boca de Tomatlan by bus, Uber, or Taxi. We are 30 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta. Please go to the cement dock and our water taxi will pick you up 20 minutes before your reservation. Look for the boat with our shirts that say Ocean Grill.
Public transit
Take a bus in Basilio Badillo street in Zona Romántica. It will drop you in the highway and need to walk down to the pier. Cabs or Uber will drop you off at the dock directly

Mahi was over cooked and the shrimp tasted old. The bathrooms are in the middle of nowhere with lots of stairs and climbing.

What a unique and absolutely outrageous experience. My partner and I hiked to the beach and worked up an appetite. We sauntered over to the restaurant after a dip to cool down. We had a trio ceviche as an appetizer, she had the catch of the day and I had the octopus. All of it was amazing. There was tremendous value in all of it. We then took a boat back to town. Must do.

Ocean Grill never disappoints. Good always presented beautifully and always delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting the newest Wilson very first day at the restaurant!

We had a nice experience at Ocean Grill. The water taxi was such a cool way to go and definitely provided anticipation and excitement . The restaurant itself is rustic, romantic and exactly what you could expect from a cliff side restaurant. Beautiful views and a unique atmosphere. The service was great, although a bit slow in the beginning to order our drinks. The waiter was very attentive from then on, and checked back about the food. We ordered smoked marlin tostadas which were really good. They are served 4 to a plate, unlike some restaurants that serve 3 items in an appetizer. Highly recommend! I ordered the jumbo shrimp and my husband the catch of the day, mahi-mahi. We both had the same side dishes, mashed sweet potato and grilled vegetables. My shrimp were cooked perfectly, although I felt lacked seasoning and could have had a little more char on the outside, and a little more sauce on the plate. My husband’s fish was swimming in butter, maybe a bit too much. Both plates were beautifully presented and matched the feeling of the restaurant. Good quality. Of the dessert options, they had sold out of the one that appealed to us the most, so we went for espresso martinis instead. The manager checked in on all the tables which I find to be a great thing that all restaurants should do. Just a nice touch. I think this is a special occasion place and the prices reflect that. Cash only.

A novel experience being perched on the side of a cliff. Food excellent service great. Only negative is the washroom, if you need to use remember to pull the bar down indicating it is occupied, there is no door on it.

We had an amazing experience at this majestic restaurant in the beautiful bay of Banderas. The food was top-notch and our server Alejandro and the renowned chef Alex did an amazing job. Oh did I mention the spectacular and breathtaking views? We were also fortunate enough to see some whales breaching about in the near distance. When in Vallarta, this is a must visit.

What an awesome experience! Drinks: great Service: great Appetizers: great Main: jumbo shrimp, great Main: catch of the day, mahi mahi, great Felix the chef food prep and presentation was amazing. A Vallarta gem, don’t miss it!!
