Odyssey Restaurant is a little chunk of Greece transported into the heart of Chesterfield, offering customers a journey of authentic flavours, sounds and the atmosphere of Greece.

Owned and run by a Greek family, Odyssey is based in the centre of Chesterfield town on 1-3 Knifesmithgate, in a traditional English building and what used to be known as the old Queen’s Head. The owners have managed to bring the building back to life by marrying old English and Greek tradition, maintaining the beauty of the building, but also enhancing it with sites and the aroma of Greece.

Among the many menu choices, one can find lovely Greek salad (horiatiki) to chicken, pork, vegetable or prawn skewers or a classic moussaka, rabbit stifado or meatballs with goat’s cheese. Mediterranean flavours and love for cooking Greek authentic recipes is the menu inspiration.

Always excellent - the food and service are second to none. Our favourite restaurant. We highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Greek food.

Food tasty and authentically Greek. Staff ultra friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do enough to make our visit a pleasant experience.

Excellent service, atmosphere was lovely and the food was the best we have tasted outside of Greece! Definitely will be back

It was our 2nd time here and we went with friends from another restaurant. Everyone loves their meal and great service as always. We will return when we are next in chesterfield. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Been here a number of times and always excellent! Can't fault a thing. Really nice staff and food, portion sizes are really big but fantastic

We had our first visit to Odyssey, last night and our first taste of Greek cuisine. We were very impressed with every concept of this family run restaurant. The decor is modern and very well designed, the seating is comfortable and well spaced out. There is plenty of space, between tables and not too close to other diners, and the ambient traditional greek music in the background was a nice touch. It enhanced the dining experience, without drowning out the conversation. Our waiters and waitresses, could not have been more helpful, their insight and knowledge when helping to choose our meals was impeccable, even down to the gluten free options, and offering to swap pitta breads for GF ones. The food was outstanding, presentation was excellent and the different explosion of tastes and flavours was a pleasure on the palette. Whether it be a succulent chicken breast, or a fiery paprika dip we were not left disappointed. The olives, capers and feta cheese were exquisite, and the selection of meats were extensive and cooked to perfection. Simply nothing was too much trouble, everything about this wonderful restaurant, exudes quality even down to the ornate coffee cups. If you're looking for an exquisite enjoyable dining experience, then we simply couldn't recommend Odyssey Greek Restaurant enough to anyone.
