the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived and although the servers were very helpful and friendly the food took over an hour to arrive. As we waited the restaurant became more occupied and the other diners experienced the same issue.

Excellent experience! Beef tenderloin was ‘out of this world’ and lobster lasagna tremendous.

Restaurant was closed although we were able to make a reservation and confirm it. We even called to say we woukd be slightly late and were told it was okay. It was outrageous. We were treated terribly by the hotel

Unexpected gem! We were not staying at the Aurora, and as a result it was hard to find on the big property. But everyone along the way was most helpful in pointing us in the right direction. Oliva is on the ground floor of the Reef building right behind the pool. We were there in the twilight, and what a view with the glimmering pool in the forefront and St. Maartin in the background. The selection of Italian food was good. We had the Bruschetta, and then my wife had the steak and I the grilled sea bass. Both were excellent. Service was beyond reproach and very friendly. For an island resort, prices were fair.

Marcella is just so-so. For such a fancy resort it was a disappointment. The food is ok, but nothing special. There is a whole presentation of olive oils and the young man who does it is very earnest, but the oils are then served with a focaccia bread that is already full of olive oil, making the tasting of different oils rather difficult. The restaurant has no atmosphere and us located fairly far from the beach. Overall, for the prices charged the food should be more special.

Our second night at Aurora. We decided to try the Italian restaurant. Really, really good food. The pasta is made fresh daily. The food was incredible, very tasty, very fresh. Great dinks selection. Service was a little slow but in keeping with the mood. The views of the bay are spectacular. First class experience. We will return.
