This Thanksgiving, indulge in three California-Italian-inspired courses at Orafo at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero. The memorable meal ($135/person) will include three-courses featuring choice of either chestnut velouté or persimmon and burrata salad; porcini and ricotta stuffed agnolotti or turducken with confit garlic and herb butter for the second course; and pumpkin spiced mille-feuille for dessert.

Overall good, but the service was slow (despite us clarifying when we arrived that people could dine by 12:45 there were plates that came out at 12:41). Food was tasty and staff were pleasant.

Decent food and good ambiance but the service was lacking. Staff interrupted conversation regularly and food came out at different times for a larger party which meant many were waiting too long to start eating. Likely well not come back.

I recently dined at Orafo and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service and the quality of the wine selection. The staff was attentive, professional, and truly made the experience enjoyable. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food, particularly the main dish. I ordered the fettuccini with shrimp (which normally comes with mixed seafood, but I requested only shrimp). While I appreciate the restaurant’s modern, local take on Italian cuisine, the dish missed the mark for me. The pasta felt unusual and lacked the traditional Italian flavor I was expecting. As a result, I couldn’t finish it, and my friend ended up eating it for me. I left still feeling hungry, which wasn’t ideal, especially considering the high price point. Overall, while the service was top-notch, the food didn’t meet my expectations for an Italian restaurant.
