                                                                                                                    Nick, the server was fabulous. We go once or twice a year as we live out of the area and we look so forward to it. Everything was perfect except my lasagna wasn’t as it was last year and was a little dry and lacking sauce. I was surprised the wine was excellent. The salad was perfect. The bread was to die for overall I love going there, especially in North Beach.

                                                                                                                    This restaurant is huge and super busy not a place to go for a quiet intimate dinner at all. The staff basically run they work so hard. The noise level is very high. After being sold on the special (braised lamb shank) and ordering it I was totally disappointed when I was advised they had no more and our waiter said he wasn’t told. The other order was a filet mignon with fries. The steak came on a plate by itself with a sprig of rosemary not a vegetable in sight and the fries in their own container very disappointing display of food especially for the price. The fries were not good my fault for ordering them I know better. A side of ravioli was good we should have stuck to ordering pasta. Also very disappointed to have 6% SF tax added to the bill and then taxed on that! Was a very expensive evening for mediocre food

                                                                                                                    The food was great and the ambiance was nice and festive. The hostess was friendly and seated us quickly. Unfortunately our overall experience was ruined because our waiter was horrible. I mean really horrible. The worst waiter I’ve ever had. We’ve had other waiters at OJs who were wonderful, so maybe this guy was the exception. Still, next time we celebrate a birthday we’ll be trying another restaurant.
