Oveja Negra, translated as “Black Sheep” in Spanish is offering a menu of “unruly tapas.” Our culinary team is “going against the grain” of this deep-rooted Spanish tradition to offer the curious diner a menu representing globally inspired recipes with a tapas flair. I had the pleasure of dining at Oveja Negra during my stay at the Hotel Valencia, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I made a reservation and was greeted warmly upon arrival. The service throughout the evening was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. The food was phenomenal. I started with the octopus, which was perfectly tender and flavorful. The sea bass was equally impressive, cooked to perfection with a beautiful balance of textures and flavors. To finish, the rice pudding was simply divine—rich, creamy, and the perfect end to a fantastic meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant and inviting, adding to the overall experience. It was the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger and savor every moment. I absolutely loved my evening at Oveja Negra and will definitely return the next time I’m in town. Highly recommended!

I was really looking forward to having a fabulous meal to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was awful and we left after a glass of wine and appetizers. Between the three of us we ate a few bites of the meat platter, chorizo omelette, beet salad, and patatas. It’s a beautiful restaurant, I just wished the food was better.

Restaurant could not accept credit card, only cash, due to technical problems that should have been addressed somehow. Entrees were served immediately after the appetizer instead of allowing sufficient time to consume the appetizer. Entrees were adequate in size and taste, but the appetizer (cold cuts) was laughably minuscule for the price of $24.

Food was disappointing based on expectation. Need more flavors and would like to see more smaller plates like most tapas restaurants serve. The flamenco guitar was the highlight of the night!! Our server did a nice job.

I enjoyed a quiet business dinner with a new client and was even more grateful when the waiter accommodated my food allergy request. The wait staff was friendly, welcoming and on point.
