Paoli Schoolhouse American Bistro is located on the banks of the Sugar River in Paoli, WI. The Schoolhouse was built in 1864 and was converted into a restaurant in 2008. We pride ourselves in supporting local vendors and ingredients to bring you the best quality dishes.

Enjoy a meal in our beautiful bistro or on the deck/patio as weather permits. We have a great selection of wine, cocktails, and carry a variety of domestic and craft beers.

The Schoolhouse is also a great venue for small events - micro weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, and any other celebrations!

                      Another lovely experience! The high quality service and food was excellent as always. We had the Paoli Schoolhouse salad with chicken, quiche, cauliflower soup, and the lamb meatballs.

                      What a wonderful dining experience! The mussels were wonderful, along with everything else from the drinks to the main course to the dessert!

                      The duck and veal were excellent though the penne was a little overcooked. I requested that we not be at a high top table but we were seated at one anyway...not a big deal.

                      I was disappointed the Lobster Bisque was not available. But the Cream of cauliflower was very tasty. We all liked our dinners. Server very personable. We will definitely be back

                      I wish I could have checked something less than outstanding for any of the questions, just so I could highlight how truly outstanding the service is. It's so obvious that this restaurant is well-managed. Pleasant, sincere staff who make you feel like the only people there, even when the house is full. Food is absolutely scrumptious and beautifully served. And it's all just so dang pretty. The right people got their hands on this beautiful building. Our group has decided to make this Sunday brunch a monthly outing.

                      Came in with reservations and was seated immediately. Shared the frites. They were excellent. Miss the shoestring. Prime rib hash had good size pieces of mushrooms for that umami taste. The potatoes were nice and crispy. Side salad was nice and bright. The kids loved their French toast and bacon. Good portion sizes. The Rolling Stop Omelet and biscuits and gravy were delicious. Can't wait to try more!

                      Our server was the very best - made it a wonderful experience. Cocktails were great, steaks and Wellington was awesome. I didn’t love my lobster pasta dish - it was beautifully made but a spice in the sauce just didn’t suit me. Music was lovely. Can’t wait to come back.

                      A beautiful setting for a celebratory dinner. The waitstaff are amazing, the food delectable, and the cocktails superb. The seating was comfy, even for my husband, who recently had spinal surgery. The room was beautifully appointed and lit. We were in the room with music and a party of 8, yet still able to have an intimate dialogue. The Chilean sea bass was the best I’ve had. My husband enjoyed the seared pork chop. The menu had so many wonderful choices, I hope to return soon to sample them. Definitely a must go!
