   While the ambiance, our server and food were wonderful the noise levels are too high. Starting with the choice of music and soundblwveks, just increased the level that people need to speak just to have a conversation was almost at yelling levels. This on a Sunday at 530pm. At 6pm there was a singer, she has a phenomenal voice, but the volume was very high. The food is phenomenal, presentation is perfect, flavor is excellent and cost is with in range. While our server was incredible and helpful with a few questions we had, the other staff was lacking, in terms of refilling my water. Even having told them I only drink water. But, not a deal breaker. The decor is exceptionally beautiful and perfectly artistic and arranged. We will be definitely ordering for delivery but not so sure on returning to the restaurant due to the noise level. Also While I do not agree with automatically adding an 18% tip to my bill, I understand the reasin behind it. However, we prefer to tip our server in cash, with fear that the owners dip their hands into the tips before the server and back of the house get their portions. I do recommend this place for food and ambiance.

   I took my family here for Mother’s Day and I must say the decor and ambiance was nice. They had a guitarist and a flamenco dancer performing with some down tempo dance music in between sets. Music wasn’t too loud, just right. That being said, that was the highlight of the evening. We made a reservation and showed up on time. However, people without reservations were being seated before us which was a little upsetting. Our server, Sophia was very nice and did a great job explaining the menu options and specials. The drink selection is good with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. We had a group of 6 and it wasn’t super busy, but our food did not come out at the same time. With two toddlers this was not fun. They both ordered pasta with butter and Parmesan so I couldn’t understand why one order came out and it was about 5-10 mins before the second order came out. Also, we ordered appetizers and they came out with the mains. This didn’t sit well with me because it’s almost like they were rushing our dining experience. The food was ok. I ordered the seafood paella which had clams, calamari, shrimp and octopus. I saw one piece of octopus and 3 clam shells, plenty of shrimp and calamari. It was seasoned well but the lack of seafood for a $39 dish was sad to say the least. My wife had the braised short ribs which was very fatty and not seasoned well at all. For $49, I expected better. The rest of the food was decent but those two dishes set the tone for me. Ok, but not worth the price. We made a simple request for some green sauce and pickled red onions and we had to ask 4 different servers before it was accomplished. Our toddlers were getting restless so we asked for the check only to see that there was a gratuity of 18% automatically added. We were told this is on all checks of $75 or more. I didn’t protest. It just let me know that this was the first and last time I would be patronizing this establishment.

   Atmosphere was great but we were seated next to the band which was pretty loud. The food took so long to get to thr table and the prices were eh compared to the size of the food. We didn't also get to experience the live band since they left when we came in.

   Excellent food! Music was awesome but try to get a table away from the musicians because it’s hard to have a conversation. Our waitress last night wasn’t attentive at all. Been here four times before and never had a problem. It took me 30 minutes to get my bill after I asked her for it and had to ask the busboy to find her which he never did. I then had to ask the manager and it was finally brought right over. Not once was my water refilled after asking numerous times for more water. I’ll definitely be back but the service was way off last night.

   Overall the food was flavorful and the drinks were great. We were underwhelmed by the staff. Our waitress-Aliyah was not very accommodating and appeared to have an attitude. It was funny when it was time for the bill that is the only time she smiled and talked in a friendly manner toward us. Beautiful space but would not go back as the vibes were off from staff.

   The ambiance and food was fantastic at Pappa Gallo. Our server Luisa was also excellent. The live music also made the atmosphere fun and different than other dining experiences. However, the manager or hostess had asked us to leave before our time was up. I had a reservation for 3 people and the limit for seating is 2 hours for the salsa brunch. I did not appreciate being asked to leave before the 2 hours was up. Thankfully since I screenshot everything, I showed the hostess that we had arrived on time and that we had half an hour left. They let us stay but this to another individual may have caused indigestion or a bad experience. I would come again, but would warn another patrons to let them know you want the full 2 hours if you do intend on staying.

   The only thing, my party and I felt rushed. Understandable we got there 30mins late, but we had to order food and drinks super fast. By the time we had our food and drinks, we only had an hour to be at the table. For the first time being there, it was a beautiful experience, excellent staff. Only thing our experience was cut to an hour. As a business, we understood that there were other reservations and book at full capacity. You should had at least let us stay for another 30mins and treat all customers the day regardless the circumstances. We practically felt kicked out of the table and it shouldn’t be that way.

   Great experience overall. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. The decor and ambience is beautiful and lively. I enjoyed the live singing. However, it could have been just a tad bit quieter so we could hear better during conversation. The drinks, appetizers, and dessert were great but overall our main dishes were just okay/good. I got the short ribs which was advertised as like slow cooked for hours and fall off the bone but it was pretty tough and hard to chew, however the Peruvian mashed potatoes were so silky smooth and flavorful. It was my birthday so they gave my whole table free shots of tequila which was nice. We met the owner who had great energy and hospitality. I would go back again!

   On the open table app I made a reservation for standard seating but when we got there the young host informed us our table is not ready then after a few minutes told us the people sitting at our supposed table were not ready to leave. After a few more minutes we asked what’s going on then informed us they don’t have tables that only available tables are outdoor. After some bickering the manager came and showed us that we picked outdoor seating which we didn’t. After the manager saw we were irate, he said there’s a table available and sat us near the live music which is noisy as hell. It was a bad experience and would have to really think about going back.

    We’ve been residents of Rockville Centre for 22 years and have enjoyed many meals at Pappa Gallo since it opened. Today, we came in for the salsa brunch—something we were excited to try after Carolina told us about it when we stopped in for a quick bite at the bar on Wednesday. As always, Carolina was warm and welcoming, and Diana, the hostess, was also lovely. Unfortunately, our experience took a disappointing turn when Maria (possibly the manager) got involved as we tried to accommodate a group of eight. Rather than working with us to find a reasonable solution, she seemed unwilling to help and even made up a story to avoid seating us together. Her attitude left a very sour impression and made us seriously reconsider whether we’d return as a group. While we’ve been loyal customers for many years, this interaction was upsetting. At this point, it seems we may be better off sitting at the bar where Carolina consistently provides outstanding service. I’m happy to share more details directly with the management.
