Benvenuto and welcome to Pazzo, a new Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Halifax. Inspired by our love affair with Italian cuisine, we’ve beautifully transformed two floors of a Barrington Street heritage building into a cozy bar on the lower level and a gorgeous dining area upstairs. With a focus on fresh handmade pasta, meats and cheeses cured in-house, and wines that flow as freely as laughter around a family dinner table, we invite you to join us on a journey of Italy’s rich food culture and la dolce vita!

Our upper level dining room is available for exclusive large group bookings ranging from 40 - 110 people. It is equipped with it's own bar and bathrooms are located on this level. The food and service is outstanding This is our second time and we will be back many more. You can get something simple to eat or a more complex meal like we had. First off, you won't find better service, all the staff was wonderful from the time we entered the restaurant to paying the bill. The food, what can I say, the food was amazing and lots of it. We did the $90 for 2 and we had 6 people at the table who did the same. When you pick this menu, you get to try a variety of items on the menu. It's a great way to taste everything. FYI: Friday nights they have a DJ at 8 to late, he had the music pump'in, so if your looking for a quiet dinner or Italian music while you eat, go earlier or go on another day. Not a negative note, just something to think about.

Experience was great, server was attentive and most importantly, food was delicious! We tried and shared a bunch of appetizers and were so full by the end! Highly recommend the gnocchi and the calamari. Cocktails were unique and we were very happy with the evening, we'll be back!

This was our first visit and we thought everything was wonderful. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. The manager even visited the table for feedback and to thank us for dining at Pazzo.

First Visit. Really enjoyed the evening. Food, Service, Ambiance all great. From the time we walked in to when we left, all staff we encountered were fabulous. Carlo (the manager) came by our table a few times to ask if we were enjoying ourselves and made a wine recommendation to my friend. If you have heard tales of the bread, it’s true, it was great. I very much like that there is adequate spacing between the tables so you aren’t brushing elbows with other people.

We had an incredible dining experience - thanks again you so much! Staff were so attentive and the GM Carlo was exceptional - he truly went above and beyond to make the night special for our family. He took special care to ensure my dietary needs were looked after and attended to every detail! The food was delicious - kudos to the chefs as they certainly know what they’re doing. We loved the DJ music coming from downstairs - wasn’t too loud… it was just perfect! Ambience, food & service - 10/10!!!

Stellar New Year's Dining Experience @Pazzo for our party of 9. All opted for the set menu that evening which did not disappoint! Food was fresh, varied yet balanced. It's a larger group to please and everyone raved about each and every course. Literally not a single complaint. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and engaged throughout the meal. Can't wait to return.
