The 4-course menu is exclusively available between Thursday and Sunday evenings with the intention to comfortably pace out your menu throughout 90 minutes from start to finish. We were excited to try the Perilla Steakhouse because we enjoy Korean BBQ and were looking forward to a higher end take on it, ala Cote in NYC. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in our meal particularly in the steak, which is what you are here for. We each had the Premium Set which included Saam and Bonchon. Our server cooked the meat at our table and when asked, we all requested medium, or a pink center. Our server undercooked ALL of the meat, not to mention that fact that no salt or pepper was used in the grilling, so it all came out undercooked and bland. Moreover, some of the cuts were relatively swiney and stringy and not fitting of the price tag. The Bonchon and kimchi fried rice was also not good, we have had better at a local Korean bbq place for alot less money. All said, we spent over $500 for three of us, and would not repeat or recommend! Holu is much better at this sort of thing, even if this atmosphere was better.

Me and my friend went for our birthday and it was an amazing experience. The food and service was excellent throughout our whole experience and we both highly recommend. I personally recommend the salmon first bite to start!

It’s all about the beef. High quality, but pricey. We felt worth it. Love being able to eat the beef cooked the way you like it (rare to medium-rare for me) right after cooked. Max flavor of the beef. Loved the Korean sides and Ssam, and dipping sauces/ spices. Also has the Kimchi fried rice, super rich, high umami. Service was great, very attentive. Let us cook the beef!! Wines were also pricey, but need that accompaniment. A new fave for us.

It was fine. Had a friend coming in from NYC and wanted to take him to a "Korean" spot in Chicago. We were going to the Bulls game, so figured we'd take advantage of the Prix Fixe menu/timing. Our reservation was for 4 PM, right when they opened. We both got the a5 wagyu bite for the First Act - and agreed it was the best thing we had. We also added a shrimp cocktail x2 - and it was nothing special. The Second Act - we got the Caesar and mixed greens salads. Again, nothing particularly special about these. I got the burger and he got the KFC for the Third Act. The burger was good - but I would not go back specifically for it. He said the chicken "wasn't Korean", but it was good fried chicken. Sadly, the beef fat fries were not available when we went. The ice cream was fine, as well. We got the Han soju and a couple pilsners - was surprised the list didn't include popular Korean soju brands, and the beer options were also missing the Cass, Terra, and other Korean beers. Ambience was nice - would be good for a date night. My friend from NYC was not blown away. I'd return, but am not in a rush to go back.

The service was great. The food, however, was okay. The chicken bibimbap was okay, the chicken it came with was tasteless. The lunch tray had good beef, but half the dish was seaweed.
