In 2024, the original location of Petit Trois, on Highland Ave in Hollywood, celebrates 10 years as a beloved, can't miss part of LA's dining scene. Chef/Owner Ludo Lefebvre puts his spin on classic French flavors including the cult-favorite Big Mec burger, swimming in rich Bordelaise sauce, perfectly roasted Heritage chicken with compressed potatoes fried in clarified butter, a French Dip sandwich served with a version of the restaurant's onion soup for dipping, and lots more. Start with the restaurant's housemade baguette served with the creamiest French butter and pair it all with wine from the restaurant's thoughtfully curated list, which includes 16 by the glass options. With a design inspired by classic Parisian bistros, Petit Trois transports guests in its 2 dining areas as well as an outdoor patio. The dining room is also available for private events.

Rude chef woman blonde hair. Rolled eyes at guests hostile energy. This isn’t Paris France. Lighten up and stop bad vibing the room.

Disappointing service during a lunch for two that came with attitude and poor listening. It took 30 minutes to get a beer and a diet coke. They forgot one starter, and the timing was staggered from there. They could not tell which steak was cooked which way.

Wow, even better than we had hoped it would be! Sit at the Chef's counter, it was like theater.

Very good French onion soup, omelette, bûche de noël. One of the best chocolate soufflés I’ve ever had. Our wait person was very friendly and quite knowledgeable about all the menu items. We were seated by the door in the dining room and every time the door was opened, there was a blast of cold air. We brought this matter up to the hostess who had seated us and her response and attitude were quite chilly. Would have preferred a more sympathetic response. We also spoke with our waiter and the manager, they were both appropriately concerned even though they really couldn’t change the environmental issues. Environmental issues are something that Petit Trois should take into consideration for the future.

Took my BFF for her birthday brunch knowing she doesn’t like heavy French food, she thought it was charming, loved our brunch. Our waiter was lovely, fun took very good care of us as did the hostess and we had a lovely couple of hours. We dined outside. They have heat lamps, which were really lovely for a cool Sunday morning. Will definitely go back and my BFF said she tends to bring her husband there as well so overall it was a hit.😛

So delicious! Everyone from the valet, hostess and waiting staff were so friendly and nice. The food was amazing!

Had lunch and dinner at the Sherman Oaks location (with 2 separate friends) this summer and although the service and ambience was top notch both times, the food was disappointing, and both times. HOWEVER, the food at L'Original was very good. I had the endive salad and pistou and my (new) friend had the liver mousse and daube and everything was seasoned well and very tasty. Creme brulee and choco mousse for dessert and they too were good. Overall, will definitely be visiting the original location again. PS: Alicia was a fantastic and warm server!
