Pisces Rising is a celebration of Florida cuisine located in beautiful Mount Dora. Established in 2003, the restaurant offers sweeping views of Lake Dora with multiple options for dining in the main dining room, semi-private, private, and outside areas of the establishment. Pisces Rising is a proud supporter of regional sustainability and utilizing fresh, local ingredients in culinary dishes first and foremost whenever possible. The scratch kitchen, referred to as the "Heart of the House", consists of a team of passionate Chefs who put their love and care into each dish. That passion stretches to the service team whose goal is to deliver the best hospitality delivered with warmth and grace.

                                                                          We had reservations to sit inside. Upon arrival the hostess said to another we gave their table to someone else, where should I put them. She raddled off a number and we were put upstairs in a dark room directly in front of the bathrooms. Our waitress said they don’t ever put anyone up here so she was not used to serving upstairs. She was not very Present or attentive to our table never offering refills for our drinks and was really rushed when she did show up. We booked the restaurant for it’s ambience as well as the food and service. Would not recommend this place to anyone or would I ever return.

                                                                          Had a wonderful birthday celebration and the food and service were excellent. Tommy did an amazing job! It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend to try it!

                                                                          Our server, Angela, made our evening. She was professional, patient and very friendly. Delicious dishes and reasonably priced. There was a female staffer ~ someone told us she was the manager. Tall, dark hair. She was so loud + stood for long periods talking to guests. While making a dish table side, we couldn’t hear each other. Otherwise, a lovely evening. But…turn down the volume.

                                                                          Had a waitress take our drink & appetizer order, but then notified us she was getting cut and someone else would take over. The person she said never came, and a different person ended up being our server. I had to ask the host for a water jug to refill our glasses because we were never brought one even though all tables around us had one. Had probably 20 minutes in between our first server saying she’s cut, to our new server coming to our table. We ordered the same exact steak, same exact temperature (medium). One came out nearly well done so we had to send it back. Then, it was corrected quickly & it came out medium rare, but we were okay with that since we prefer if it’s a little undercooked rather than overcooked. The steaks were delicious. Last thing, the bathrooms could’ve been more presentable. The women’s restroom was unappealing per my fiancée & the men’s was just fine. We know this is a very historic restaurant/building, but we felt the restrooms could’ve been a little cleaner/nicer just since this is a classier/more expensive restaurant. I’m not typing all this to complain, just to provide feedback. We really appreciated all of the employees helping resolve any issues we had throughout the night. It was our first time there & we also would’ve enjoyed more options on the menu, but we understand keeping it small

                                                                          What an amazing place!!! The food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the Cuban sandwich spring rolls and the shrimp and grits. The drinks were unique and just amazing!! Our server was so wonderful and had great menu suggestions.
