Platea is curated and owned by Chef & Entrepenaurs Fernando Salazar & Andres Marmolejos.
The Platea Experience provides guests with a one-of-a-kind take on the classic Prime Steakhouse but delivering them with flavors brought on by the Peruvian influence and quality Marmolejos & Salazar are known for. All our steaks come from the top 1% of the Prime cattles in the USA, some of the very best there is in the world when it comes to marbling, fattiness, and flavor. All our seafood is fresh and comes from independent purveyors, some of them flying in the selective menu items on a daily basis.

Ordered a strip loin was not happy with the cut very thin not a thick cut at all everything else was very good. Disappointed with the strip loin.

We had an AMAZING time! The staff made sure to make us feel special on our anniversary with a personalized card and sparklers with dessert. Amazing and delicious food as always. We LOVE coming here!

Always excellent! Some of the best steak in all of South Florida. Quietly tucked away in South Dade to avoid the obnoxious noise of Brickell and Downtown.

Incredible food and value with a Brickell or Miami Beach vibe in Pinecrest. Fernando has done a sensational job with the concept.

You must order the oysters! Served with the juice of their ceviche, it’s the most unique and bold flavor that I’ve ever had with oysters. My absolute favorite anywhere across this country. I’ve been twice now to this restaurant, each time trying different things. The bold flavors and exquisite touch by their chefs and their staff keep me wanting to come back again and again.!!!

The Dino Rib (short rib) was amazing. My $79 bone-in ribeye was cooked at the right temperature; however it was very very tough to cut. Definitely NOT Prime grade as they advertise. You can find much better steakhouses in South Miami.
