   Excellent food and our waitress was awesome! Could use improvement in the seating/hostess processes. We arrived 20 minutes prior to our reservation. We were told repeatedly that our table had paid or was leaving but weren’t seated until 20 minutes after our reservation time for a 40 minute total wait. Hostesses just need to be honest with expectations. Several people were seated prior to us who arrived after us.

   Consistently great food and service. The lentil balls won over even a very picky eater who proclaimed the hummus the best she’d ever had. The fluke was amazing, it might be my new favorite menu item.

   Very good food. Server a bit manic. I can read the specials on the board. BUT… the noise level is over the top to the point of noxious. One of our dining companions said it’s always this way and they probably don’t care. Seems about right. Screw the customers. People shouting to be heard. Cannot see going back. A few sound baffles on the wall? What would that cost? Wouldn’t even notice them. Or maybe they don’t care. Not likely to return.

   Smelts are the best around. Spicy Mussels over spaghetti had just the right kick. Fisherman’s Stew was abundant and delicious. Steak Ala Mama was to perfection and tonight’s special Yellow Fin Tuna was amazing. Our wait staff Christina was attentive and knowledgeable. Love dining early. If you haven’t been added it to your list of must try.

    It was our first time but not our last! We had the pasta special (bucatini with chicken, pancetta and peas) and the roasted chicken with sage, mushrooms, prosciutto and fontina and it was all absolutely delicious.
