Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe.
We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that!

Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation.

We are a small restaurant and therefore we do have a strict no show- cancellation policy. we need 24 hours or more. Please be considerate of this.

I have a gluten allergy and I have never experienced such amazing delicious food like I did tonight !!!! Everything was so delicious and I will go back again .

Excellent high end modern Italian food, everything we ordered was excellent including the special desserts. Service is polite, fast and amiable.

We wanted to love this place but overall was underwhelming. We tried to get a reservation for quite a while. It is a very small restaurant. Inside is cute but no bathroom within restaurant to use. The service was ok. A few positives, my husband like his sausage, polenta, and mushroom dish. The cocktails were also good but $20 each. The gf bread was ok, not served warm. The dip with the bread was good. My shrimp scampi with bucatini was ok but shrimp slightly overcooked and not memorable to reorder. Salad with endive and pears was small and underseasoned. Husband inquired about a birthday dessert. Told they would add a candle. Water is $8. Guests at table next to us were not a fan of their dessert so we did not order one. Unfortunately we will not return.

There were four of us. Two had polenta dishes one mushroom and one sausage, one had lamb shank and one had a sausage pasta. We all thought the dishes were excellent. The owner, Yvonne came and talked to us for a while and was very nice and forthcoming about her current endeavors besides La Polenteria, which included a catering service. Very nice..

I won’t be surprised if Polenteria earns a Michelin star. Exquisite flavors and beautiful presentation.

AMAZING Food! The bread was to die for and you would never have known it was gluten free. My husband is Italian and agreed the gluten free pasta was also legit! We will be back!
