Working with seasonal British and Italian produce, each dish takes inspiration from traditional Italian flavours and methods, with a creative approach. Transforming this daytime bakery to a lively neighbourhood restaurant, with small plates and pastas designed for sharing. Our wine list utilises a mixture of well and lesser known grapes; which when combined with innovative and often low intervention methods, create a diverse wine offering to pair harmoniously with our food.

Early Evening Set Menu
£ 25,00 per persoon
Meerdere datums beschikbaar
We are offering an early evening set menu, that will allow you to choose between two course's for £25 and three course's for £30. This will be a faster service style designed for before the theatre or a concert, so there will be a shorter seating time on your table of 1 hour and 15 minutes for up to two people and 1 hour and a half for three to four people. This menu is chosen each week by our chefs and therefore options cannot be swapped out for other items on our menu. A la carte is available alongside this menu.

Been 3 times to pophams pasta. Always a great experience. Great drinks, lovely staff, yummy pasta excellent desserts

Loved the experience. Cosy by candlelight and buzzy without being loud. Service friendly, helpful and efficient. Sadly lost a star because the pasta a tad too al dente for us. I know it’s Italian, but not for me. Everything else yum.

Loved everything about this place. The food, the wine, the vibes, the service — all 10/10. Every dish was so well considered and the flavours hit the palette perfectly. Would come back again and again, and again!

I'm really starting to struggle with the over-used small plates/big prices formula that's been becoming more and more of a trend especially around North and East London. If you're going to charge as much as Popham's are for small plates, the experience should be memorable and the food was average at best. The price/quality ratio is very poor. I can think of places with a similar vibe around Newington Green that out-do this place by far. The duck carmelle was not evenly cooked. The octopus puttanesca was more like a puttanesca with a sprinkle of octopus. However the dessert was amazing. It was the croissant pudding and it was off the charts. But £10 for a dessert? Since when did we accept that's just ok? I think what I struggle with is that Popham's isn't really fine dining so I don't understand why these prices for such small - even stingy - portions are ok. At the end of the day it's just pasta in a local neighbourhood restaurant...
