   Popped over from the Isle of Wight for my sons birthday treat as he's been here a few times and has always raved about the food. Unfortunately the menu has changed since the last visit and is now very limited. Nothing on the menu but steaks, cheapest start at £45 but we went for the specials, £95 each. Two sides and sauces are included in this price. Unfortunately the sides are very limited also. We ordered the parmesan and truffle fries which were so salty we had to send them back. The carrots (4) were very sweet but just about edible and the cauliflower (4 florets) were OK. Unfortunately my son had to send his steak back as he'd ordered medium/rare and it arrived medium/well done, not great, particularly for £95! Although they did deduct 40% from the bill. We had 2 starters beforehand, charcoal arancini £9 for 4 black balls which were OK and the short rib which is literally 2 tiny squares of greasy meat with a handful of diced pepper's for £12. I had stated on booking it was my sons birthday but apart from wishing him a happy birthday, no special treatment and a ruined steak was all he received. Service was the only redeeming feature here, which was excellent. All in all, a very disappointing, overpriced experience which we won't bother repeating

   Had the Sunday dinner, roast beef and it was amazing. Better than my own roast. Desert choice was limited and disappointing in my opinion, so we declined, however, I was too full up to enjoy desert anyway.

   What a gem of a place, food was outstanding, everything was perfect, staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Would certainly recommend a visit.

   Really good roast dinner for Mother’s Day! The staff were really welcoming and polite. The food was really good, much better than the first time I went when they opened, large portion and tasty, might possibly be up there with the best roast I have had in Southampton!

   An establishment that professes to be a steak restaurant has let us down tonight. Only 2 choices of steak at £45 each of another 3 types at over £100 each. Fillet steak, cooked medium rare was luck warm. When brought to the waiter’s attention the steak was put in the oven which overcooked the exterior and the centre remained luck warm. A series of inefficiency from the waiting staff including non appearance of starter, side dish of mushrooms and the waiter clearing the table before the desserts arrived. Attitude of the staff was poor. Manager aware of issues and desserts were given as complimentary. Was this enough ? No. Too expensive for a poor meal.

   Nice steak, and nice sides, but had to wait over an hour from ordering for the food to arrive and restaurant wasn’t even half full.

    For a steak house the Rib Eye steak was very average only. For the price it wasn't good value
