   Prime and Pearl is just classy. The food was excellent and the service was attentive and professional. It is our favorite Gainsville restaurant. Even though it is thought of as a steak restaurant, we both ordered fish dishes. Outstanding. The chef even came to the table to make sure my wife’s meal was properly gluten free. She is a celiac.

   I hadn’t been here in a while, so thought I’d come back to give it another try. Of the three upscale steakhouse in town I would put this at the bottom. This is the only place that has both wet and dry aged steaks and the wet steaks are all the same quality I could make it home.

   Disappointing experience. Food was okay, steak was overcooked by 5 minutes, but manager did offer a salad. Server took a while to come back so we could inform her. Then when the manager came out she made the comment “hopefully this one isn’t cooked medium” and I thought that was a slap in the face considering it was practically well done. The highlight of the night was the dessert. This is far from a true fine dining establishment but a nice chain.

   Top tier steak and seafood. Gluten free labeled on menu for select items. Fair prices, decent service, little out of place in a shopping center but the atmosphere is very Miami. Techno/house music playing moderately loud, good lighting, nice overall space just out of place in its current location/style.

   We decided to try this restaurant with some fellow athlete friends while we were competing in the World Masters Athletics at Celebration Point. My husband and one of our friends enjoyed glasses of Vinho Verde. I tasted it, and it was very light and refreshing. My husband and I shared the Palm Beach Plate with ahi tuna, avocado and corn, but it had too much corn for my liking. We shared the crab cakes, which seemed overpriced at $39.00, but were spicy and tasty. At least there were lumps of crab, along with the breading. There were no side dishes with the entrees, though, so we enjoyed the bourbon mushrooms as our accompaniment. For dessert, I was disappointed with the coconut cream pie, as I wanted more of the filling. This was not the pie slice I imagined, but instead it was mostly a shell with a little filling in the middle. Our friends enjoyed a huge slice of lemon cake with several layers that they took back to their hotel room.

   Greatly over cooked my steak and it took 20 minutes to replace it. Everyone else was finished dining

    Overall was pretty good I would not say it was great. The value of the food was fair a little expensive for the quality.
