For over a decade, Providence has elevated the standard of modern American seafood restaurants. We invite you to experience Chef Michael Cimarusti’s award-winning cuisine in the heart of Los Angeles, welcomed by one of LA’s legendary hosts, co-owner Donato Poto.

Corkage is $100 per bottle for the first two 750 ml bottles, $150 for the third, with a three bottle maximum per table.

    On his days off, two of chef Michael Cimarusti’s go-to restaurants have been Kris and Sarah Yenbamroong’s Night + Market, and Andy Ricker’s Pok Pok in LA. (now shuttered). Over the years, he has befriended both chefs through social outings and charity events to which they all contribute. In shaping the 20th Anniversary dinner series, Cimarusti wanted to bring the trio together in the kitchen for one night at Providence. To celebrate Providence's 20th year in Los Angeles, chefs Ricker and Yenbamroong will kick off the series on April 3rd. The Thai-inspired menu will be a first for Providence. Cimarusti notes, "The thing that unites all great cuisine is deliciousness. Andy and Kris are masters at creating brilliant flavors." Cimarusti continues, "Sarah Yenbamroong’s James Beard-nominated wine program at Night + Market is one of the highlights of the N+M experience. She will be working with Providence Wine Director David Osenbach to curate the wine pairings." Join us on Thursday, April 3rd, for this extraordinary experience to kick off our 20th Anniversary Dinner Series at Providence! $50 of each dinner purchased will be donated to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Please note that due to the nature of our collaborative dinner menu, we are unable to accommodate any menu changes or substitutions.     One of chef Michael Cimarusti's favorite restaurants in Tokyo is Zaiyu Hasegawa's Den. Chef Hasegawa's interest in cooking was sparked by the bento boxes his mother would bring home from the ryotei (high-end Japanese restaurant) where she worked as a geisha when he was young. After graduating from high school, he received training by living and working at a ryotei, "Kagurazaka Uwotoku," from the age of 18. Hasegawa acquired experience in the other various restaurants and eventually opened Den in Jimbocho, Tokyo 2008 at the age of 29. Hasegawa received two stars in the Michelin Guide Tokyo 2011 just three years after opening. Den inspires a new form of Japanese cuisine that is different from the traditional Japanese style while appreciating the value of cultural tradition to incorporate excellent ingredients and the four seasons.     There is so many add ons that are a separate cost that actually make the experience a bit better. The items on the pre-fix are not that great. Overall the food does not have a lot of flavor. They also had the restaurant set at 65 degrees and your food will go cold so quickly it loses its taste. Overall not worth it. I wouldn’t go back.

    This was my fourth visit to Providence. Overall, the experience was positive, but it did not fully meet the expectations of a two-Michelin-star restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly host who immediately escorted us to our table inside the dining room, which was 70% occupied. I had specifically requested a corner table, but my request was not honored, and the host did not mention it. It wasn’t a big deal as we were eager to eat. I’ve always admired the ambiance of the soft green walls and fairly dark dining room of Providence. The menu was presented, and a birthday greeting was added to it for my girlfriend, which was a nice touch. However, I did feel that the experience did not meet the expected standards. Carlos, the master server, appeared somewhat detached and aloof throughout the evening. The other servers were much more amiable and communicative. I was grateful that we did not have to interact with him during our two-hour visit, as his demeanor detracted from our overall dining experience. Turning to the food, the dishes were served at an ideal pace, with seven courses plus oysters, each one unique and appealing. The dessert was satisfactory, though not extraordinary. Overall, the experience was satisfactory, though not as exceptional as some of my previous dining experiences. It did not feel like a Michelin two-star restaurant. This is simply my personal opinion.
