As the name suggests, P.S. Steak was established to continue the story of the historic space that was once famed La Belle Vie. As Chef Mike DeCamp spent 10 years at the former French restaurant, this will be his homecoming and opportunity to write his own chapter for the space. P.S. Steak disrupts the perceptions of a typical steakhouse while honoring the legacy of one of the great culinary foundations in the Twin Cities.
The restaurant features an elevated yet accessible seasonal menu, along with a variety of cuts of meat, dry aged in a display case.
The lounge has been given a modern makeover with chic furniture and marble table tops. A selection of living floor plants divides tables to create intimate seating. Bringing warmth to the room, the bar and adjacent fireplace keeps guests cozied up to a menu of progressive cocktails.

    After previous excellent visits to PS I was disappointed with the food quality this time. Our server highly recommended the 5oz Denver steak. For the price it was tiny, literally 2”x3” and 1/2” thick. Maybe 4-5 bites at most. The taste was nothing special and a little chewy. The hashbrowns were overcooked and dry. The brussel sprouts were barely cooked and hard, practically raw. Not very pleasant. With a wide variety of other steak houses to choose from I don’t think I’ll be back. It was a special occasion and I was hoping for more.

    Lovely anniversary dinner st PS Steak…the service was extraordinary, the food was outstanding. The Denver steak was so flavorful and done perfectly. And the sides were also wonderful. The chopped salad (greens, smoked salmon, dill havarti, and a deviled egg) was so unusual and absolutely delicious. We love the ambiance of the dining room and our table was in an area that was quiet. All in all, we love PS Steak.

    Where to start.... WOW. My wife and I have been all over the Twin Cities searching for excellent restaurants. P.S. Steak delivered on every front. The location is fantastic, the ambience is laid back posh and upscale. The service was incredible, our waiter was excellent, offered to decant a nice red we brought right away for us. The menu is diverse enough, but we were there for the red meats. The selection of cuts was incredible, cooked to perfection, and the sides were scrumptious. We will absolutely be coming back soon!

    Our experience at PS Steak was excellent. We arrived a bit early for our reservation so we sat in the bar and enjoyed a cocktail the Cilantro Margarita which was fantastic. Our dinner was in the steakhouse dining room. We ordered the P.S. Chopped salad and garlic pull apart bread to share. Our steak choice was the 10oz Denver Steak and the 18oz prime ribeye with an order of the Brussels sprouts and Aligot potatoes and shrimp crab cakes. We finished with a cappuccino and scoop of ice cream with fudge sauce. Being a Sunday night by it was very quiet but no less enjoyable.
