Puritan & Company, led by Chef-owner Will Gilson, serves modern American cuisine, with particular emphasis on traditional New England fare, and not without occasional excursions into other ethnic ingredients and styles. Our mainstays are ingredients sourced from farms we know and locally to the extent possible, and always a sense of fun.

Our dining room is a casual and fun place to dine. We love to share our excitement about the food and wine we serve like we would in our own home. Guests and their friends should feel comfortable in our friendly and even familial environment as we make our food and guest the number one focus.

    Our server could have used more help in the section up front, but the food was outstanding as always! We love our traditional Christmas Eve 💚

    We had the Christmas Eve menu which limited our choices but we enjoyed our meals very much. We each got a delicious roll and whipped butter to start off. We had the chicken pot pie and the buratta for our first courses. The potpie crust was flaky and light. The chicken was not in chunks, but was cooked down to almost a paste. It was flavorful but I didn't care for the texture at all. The buratta was perfect with apples and cabbage and delicious pesto . We both had the fried chicken with cous cous for our main course. The chicken had a fine crust but no batter. The pieces were very small but the cous cous and vegetables were very tasty and made a good filler. I had the devil's food cake for dessert which had a coffee filling and delicious buttercream frosting. The other dessert was a cream puff topped with granola and warm, caramelized (?) bananas. Both were delicious! Our only disappointment was the soft drinks we ordered were nearly 5$'each and were just cans brought to the table. Extremely overpriced. Normally the ambience is probably very good, but we were disappointed that even though it was Christmas there was no Christmas music . We enjoyed our experience, but probably wouldn't come back bc of the high prices and smaller portions.

    Fantastic place for a special occasion or just a meal out -- great food, excellent wine selection, and fun cocktails! Stop by the oyster bar for a cocktail after your dinner reservation for a truly special night <3

    We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. Steak tartare, swordfish and short rib were standouts. Amazing martinis. Service was perfect.

    We had a great experience with dinner for five. There wasn't a single dish that the group didn’t enjoy. Service was attentive and spot on with good recommendations. Can’t wait to come back with my wife.

    Great meal all around. Food was excellent, and it was busy but we could still easily hear one another at our table and the service was top notch. Will return!

    The staff here is truly exceptional and the food is great. If you’re looking for a low-key experience with great staff and great food - this is absolutely where you should go.

    It’s been a while since we were here last. But it has a timeless feel to it. The food is a little more on the comfort food side now - it used to be a little more adventurous. But it is still a lovely restaurant with great food.
