Our classic Bouillabaisse a l'Americaine is full of shellfish, prawns, scallops, artichokes and baby potatoes. It's all simmered in a saffron and pastis tomato broth...rouille buttered baguette on the side! 25$ all night long...you can't make it for less at home:)

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Purlieu on November 16. The space is small but cozy and well-appointed. The food was delicious. We had the baked brie and escargots for appetizers and the steak au poivre and moules et frites with Provencal sauce for mains. Everything was well cooked and presented beautifully. The servers were also very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Purlieu is a fabulous place. I've eaten there many times and each has been such a pleasure. I can't recommend this ace enough.

Coquille st Jacques was excellent as was steak au poivre. Bouillabaisse was best I’ve ever had. All seafood was tender and flavors were lovely. Crème brûlée was wonderful. And Yves was fabulous again. New favourite restaurant.

Table of 5 and we each had three courses , we all cleaned our plates. Excellent food , not rushed . We will return without fail .

I had the pleasure of dining at a charming Purlieu bistro last night for my birthday and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The restaurant boasted a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The service by Sam was impeccable. He made excellent recommendations and ensured that our meal was a delightful one. The food was simply divine. Each dish was meticulously prepared by the kitchen crew and presented with an artistic flair. The flavors were bold and authentic, showcasing the true essence of French cuisine. From the delicate appetizer to the decadent dessert, every bite was a culinary masterpiece. Overall, I highly recommend this French bistro to anyone seeking a truly memorable dining experience. Halibut with tomato and chutney and the steak au poivre were both excellent and perfectly cooked. Sous vide probably. Fantastic flavors. Chocolate terrine was very nice. Doesn’t feel like you are in Calgary. Unassuming little strip mall in suburbia. Pretty room and wonderful service from Yves.

I would have given a 5 star review for the food but it was a wee bit too salty. A little less salt and it would be perfection.
