At Pythouse Kitchen Garden, you'll find an idyllic atmosphere in which to enjoy fantastic food. We offer covered outdoor seating in our glorious garden and indoor seating in the conservatory and potting shed. Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a lunchtime destination only at present.

Head chef Darren Broom's passion lies in producing food with an unmistakable sense of terroir. For Darren, provenance is not just the backstory to his ingredients, it’s everywhere in the look, feel and taste of his food.

We are keen to champion our own produce first and foremost, providing guests with a unique and ever-changing insight into the seasons. We work closely with the garden team to manage and maintain the garden and to deliver a programme of regeneration and sustainability.

The fruit and vegetables are grown solely for you and your guests and harvested on the day of your celebration. The abundant flowers, specimen trees and 18th Century architecture form a heavenly backdrop. Parties at PKG are invariably colourful, chic and fun. Meet the suppliers of the food on the table as you drink botanical cocktails made with the fruits growing around you. Pick your own flowers to take home and tour the garden with our head gardener. Sample fire-cooked delights before taking your place at the long-table, where you’ll meet like-minded people as you feast on a three-course supper with wine and sophisticated non-alcoholic drinks included.                                     We loved it. The brunch was very good, daughter and I had the full English which was excellent although we would have preferred toast to the Irish Potato cake which, for us, had a strange taste. Service was great as was the superb location.

                                    Would thoroughly recommend. We’ve been for Sunday lunch a couple of times and will definitely return. Great ambience, service and fantastic locally sourced food, some from the gardens themselves. What’s not to love. Thank you to the team for an overall great experience.
