Accessed from the High Street and through a glass lobby, Quod restaurant with its terrace and bar, forms the hub of the Old Bank Hotel. Formerly a banking hall it was transformed by owner Jeremy Mogford to become Oxford's largest and most successful restaurant. Stylish, contemporary design describes the space which houses an amazing collection of young British art. Sandra Blow, Craigie Aitchinson and Gary Hume adorn the walls. There is a spectacular terrace where diners can enjoy a morning coffee, the superb value two course lunch or a cocktail.

Quod and the Old Bank Hotel have a large secure private car park and is accessed via an automated barrier. Priority is given to hotel guests though spaces are readily available throughout the weekdays.

Coaches and trains provide regular services to and from destinations across the UK and there is a direct coach service to London every nine minutes. Coach stops are a couple of minutes walk along the High Street and Oxford Train Station is around 20 minutes walk away.

Afternoon Tea in Quod

Take part in the most traditional English pastime of afternoon tea in the heart of Oxford. With its large windows looking onto the famous colleges, Quod is the perfect stopping point during a walk of the city. Enjoy classic egg & cress or ham and mustard sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of champagne. In the summer months tea can be taken on our recently refurbished Italian garden terrace.

The most delicious home-made wild mushroom ravioli was outstanding. Lots of other yummy things too. Highly recommended.

We visit Quod regularly and after today's meal I question why we hadn't been for a while. First course good although needed to borrow someone else's teeth to crack the croutons. Calves liver superb, could have been a little more pink but so difficult to do in a large restaurant with thin slices, mash, kale and bacon and tasty sauce set the whole meal off. Our waitress who we now know well was as good as ever and at £34.60 a head great value. See you again soon!

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, treated with respect and just the right amount of attention. Food delicious as always. Our favourite place in Oxford to have a drink and to dine. Thank you to the Quod team!

Car park is available but no instructions were given. Car park was closed resulting in more than 1h delay. Very bad experience

A delightful restaurant , good service, good food but the meal was slightly upset by a very noisy table of 8? girls next to us who had very piercing voices and giggles. I noticed several of your customers glaring at them. I don't want to be an old moaner but it was intrusive.

Staff were immensely helpful when answering my questions about the table reservation, providing prompt replies via email, and they generously let us stay at our table the whole evening from 5.30 - 9pm. We had a wonderful time and will certainly be returning soon! Many thanks to the team for making our evening so special.
