Accessed from the High Street and through a glass lobby, Quod restaurant with its terrace and bar, forms the hub of the Old Bank Hotel. Formerly a banking hall it was transformed by owner Jeremy Mogford to become Oxford's largest and most successful restaurant. Stylish, contemporary design describes the space which houses an amazing collection of young British art. Sandra Blow, Craigie Aitchinson and Gary Hume adorn the walls. There is a spectacular terrace where diners can enjoy a morning coffee, the superb value two course lunch or a cocktail.

    Take part in the most traditional English pastime of afternoon tea in the heart of Oxford. With its large windows looking onto the famous colleges, Quod is the perfect stopping point during a walk of the city. Enjoy classic egg & cress or ham and mustard sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a cup of tea or perhaps a glass of champagne. In the summer months tea can be taken on our recently refurbished Italian garden terrace.

    Spent three nights at Old Bank hotel and ate in Quod every night. The service and atmosphere was excellent and all the staff seem to go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. We love it there and would highly recommend

    Good food, nice atmosphere. Good service from waiter at our table, but bar staff did not crack a smile once. Our table wasn’t ready for 30 minutes after our booking slot with no genuine apology or concern shown by the Front of House manager.

    Really enjoyed the atmosphere which was lively without being noisy. The food was also very good quality and tasted wonderful. The portion sizes were just right. My only beef would be the wine by the glass prices for a 175ml glass.

    I love this place, which is unique in all of Oxford. The elegance of the environment and the food are great. The service was so careful, and the view from the window was amazing. The Xmas lights are so beautiful The only suggestion it would be to give more vegetarian options if possible.

    The most delicious home-made wild mushroom ravioli was outstanding. Lots of other yummy things too. Highly recommended.

    We visit Quod regularly and after today's meal I question why we hadn't been for a while. First course good although needed to borrow someone else's teeth to crack the croutons. Calves liver superb, could have been a little more pink but so difficult to do in a large restaurant with thin slices, mash, kale and bacon and tasty sauce set the whole meal off. Our waitress who we now know well was as good as ever and at £34.60 a head great value. See you again soon!
