We are excited to welcome you to Rania, DC's hottest destination for modern Indian food. Tom Sietsema has called our food "some of the most inspired Indian cooking in DC." At Rania, we offer homage to the time-honored traditions, rich flavors, and spices of India in an intimate, luxurious setting. We look forward to sharing our vision with you!

Presenting sophisticated, highly acclaimed 4-course prix-fixe menu, with an upcoming debut of our chef's tasting menu.

Policies:
-Dress Code: Smart Business Casual. No shorts, athletic wear, or baseball caps are allowed.
-Children under 10 are not allowed in the main dining areas.
-Reservations are available for parties of up to 6 people.
- A non-refundable deposit of $30 per person is required for parties larger than 5.
-A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties 5 or more.

Immerse yourself in the elegance of Rania with our Chef's Tasting Menu, a sumptuous seven-course affair available at $175, complemented by exquisite wine pairings for $125 per person. Note: Due to the unique nature of our cuisine, we are unable to accommodate Vegan diets, allergies to allium, nightshade, cumin, and coriander. No skips. All hits. The service? Phenomenal. Our server, Aram, was exquisite—personable, attentive, and truly the highlight of the meal. And that’s saying something because every aspect was absolute fire. Applause to Aram! We went for the Chef’s Tasting Menu, and you should too. Let the Chef tell their story. Be bold, be adventurous, and trust the journey. Put the phone down and allow yourself to be led blindly. At Rania, you’ll explore caves, caverns, hills, and waterfalls—a beautifully crafted narrative told through food, from the perspective of a daring Indian heroine who abandons expectations and fearlessly takes up space. Standout dishes? Don’t be ridiculous. Does Beyoncé have standout songs? Does Shakespeare have standout plays? No. It’s all perfection. Admire it. Enjoy it. Appreciate the fact that you’re alive in a time where creative geniuses have chosen to bare their souls, conquer their vulnerability, and share their brilliance with you. Alright, alright—if I had to pick one moment that lingered just a little longer in my heart, it would be that pre-dessert. The fennel. The grapefruit. A stroke of brilliance. Not playing favorites among titans, but that one stayed with me the longest.

This meal was amazing. Would go back again and again. Menu is so versatile. Best wine pairing we've ever had. Every course was incredible including the amuse. Best duck I've ever had.

Went here for my husbands birthday and I must say the service was excellent. The food was amazing. Can wait to go back and try the chef choices this time.
