    For the first time ever, in their defense it was New Years Day. Service was beyond slow and eventually our table was not on the radar screen. Extremely disappointed because I have been a guest since the 1990’s

    We wanted a nice place to celebrate our anniversary and chose Ray's on the River based on previous experiences. We were not disappointed. The hostesses pleasantly greeted us, our server (Luis) was very attentive to our every need / request, the scenery (sitting at the window gazing at the Chattahoochee River) beautiful and the food spectacular. We had one request regarding the menu and the chef was more than accommodating. A delightful evening, and we're grateful to Ray's for helping make it so.

    I've been to Ray's on the River at least four or five times before in the past. Anniversaries...birthdays.. etc. This time, I took my wife there just to celebrate the New Year on New Year's Day. She ordered a Ceasar salad and a shrimp dish for her appetizer. I ordered Oyster Rockefeller for my appetizer. We both ordered the New York strip and shrimp dish for the main, and the Lobster mac n cheese for our sharable side dish. My wife took ONE forkful of the Loberster mac and cheese and said that she felt that the Lobster had gone bad. I sampled it, and it did taste a bit "different", but I chalked it up to the way they seasoned it maybe.. I could not imagine that we were gettinf served bad lobster at Ray's!! We ended up taking the bulk of our meal in to go boxes as we filled up on appetizers...as usual.. I got home and immediately refrigerated our take home boxes. As usually happens, I got hungry again about 2 hours later and warmed my leftovers back up and ate them. I ate about half of our mac n cheese and Lobster left overs. That night, I had to visit to our facilities 3 times between 3AM and 8AM. Unpleasant. I think my wife was right! The Lobster was bad! I don't understand how that happens in a restaurant that is supposed to specialize in sea food!
