   Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Service was outstanding, drinks constantly topped up, very friendly staff and incredible food. Mussels were incredible, so fresh. Duck and steak were cooked perfectly with so much flavour. The tiramisu was delicious, could have had seconds it was that good. All and all, it’s an absolutely gorgeous restaurant, one of the best in St Ives!

   I had the crab tart to start which was ok but the pastry was undercooked. My wife had scallops which she enjoyed. I had the crab pasta in lobster sauce which was very bland and would not have again. My wife had the duck breast and said it was lovely and would have again. Overall we will not return.

   First time visiting since it was the cellar bistro. It’s had a lovely makeover and new fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. Was lovely to see familiar staff and service was great. The let down for us was every dish was luke warm, give the restaurant there dues they offered to change it but it was quite late so we said it was fine but was a shame as food was tasty. Price wise a little on the expensive side but if the food had been hot would of been worth it

   This is the first time we have been since it was The Cellar. The decor has made a great improvement as it is nice and light. The staff were very friendly. The food is great, I had the trio of Lamb, and the prices are better than some of the other restaurants in town. The cocktails were quite expensive though. We will definitely go again.

   A bit disappointed. Which is a shame as I had high hopes as the other places me and my husband gone to eat over the weekend have been amazing. I feel the service was the worst I've probably ever experienced. Seemed like they didn't care too much about being there and or giving service. The crab pasta and fried calamari lacked flavor. Also felt like a sauna inside. Overall not a place I would recommend.

You were our last reservation at 9 PM on a very busy evening with over 200 guests, and it’s possible the atmosphere was warmer and a few small details were missed – like the candle in your dessert. Our team checked on your food and you mentioned everything was fine, which we appreciated.     Service was slow and we were served the wrong steaks / food. Nice restaurant and starter was excellent however the waitresses were not the best in reviewing tables, getting drinks, bringing the card machine for payment. Had I had the option to tip I would not have given a 10% tip but they had already included this in the bill so watch out all. You can’t voice your experience with a higher or lower tip. The restaurant is actually down some step stairs in the basement so ease of access and those with walking difficulties will probably find this challenging. Lastly this is not to do with the restaurant but St Ives is so busy and parking is ridiculously hard to find.

    Dear Debbie, Thank you for visiting us and for taking the time to share your thoughts about Reef&Beef. We are truly sorry that we did not meet your expectations during your visit. As you may have noticed, it was an exceptionally busy evening, and unfortunately, we were operating with a reduced number of staff. Your reservation was scheduled for 6:30 PM for a party of seven, but only three guests arrived on time. The rest of the group was announced after 7:00 PM, which caused a significant delay for the kitchen, especially as other reservations had arrived in the meantime.
