   There are a few dishes to eat healthy but, if you want a good ole “comfort” meal…this is the place! The chicken friend NY strip steak was yummy! If you plan on visiting with your party, would recommend a booth as they are surrounded by high seats which allows everyone to hear one another. Patio looks nice but was next to parking lot. A we will definitely be returning!

   Republic Texas Tavern (RTT) is one of our favorite restaurants. We love that the menu specials changes on a monthly basis. The in-house made pastas (ravioli, tortellini, etc) are always amazing. We go to restaurants every weekend, looking for that better, new thing, but we are often let down by overpriced and average food. Other places just reinforce RTT as a great place to eat. Everything is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced

   Sit at the bar for lunch. Service was very slow, although there was only two or three people there. I do think she was having to wait on some of the tables as well. Ask for one of the TVs to be changed when I got there. I was told the manager was gonna change it twice. I left and nothing ever changed. I had the fried cauliflower. It was heavy, covered in all kinds of cheeses and onions. Very heavy and dense dish. They noticed that I did not eat it and she did take it off the bill which I appreciate. I would just advise people in the future not to order it or more importantly have the kitchen make a lighter crisper version it’s not smothered with other things. Had the deviled eggs which were OK. The candied bacon was so gummy and sticky that I almost could not remove it from my teeth.  Hopefully the kitchen will read this and make some adjustments.

   I had such a wonderful experience dining here recently! We sat out on the patio on a beautiful night, and it couldn’t have been more perfect—peaceful and low noise, which made for such a relaxing atmosphere. The vibe is effortlessly cool, fun yet casual, making it an ideal spot for a date night. The service was fantastic—attentive without being intrusive—and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the arugula salad, which was fresh and flavorful, followed by the cauliflower bites that were perfectly crispy and addictive. For the main, we had the steak frites, and wow—cooked to perfection! Every bite was just right. This place really nailed it on all fronts. We’ll definitely be back!
