Restaurante Catedral brings local, regional and international dishes together to offer a truly unique menu. Start your day off with a breakfast of Teotitlan Del Valle Style eggs or the Socorrido, which is a pork rind casserole with sausage, egg and cheese served in a red sauce with Water Chiles stripes. Restaurante Catedral is the perfect place for a date night. Come enjoy the house specialty of homemade ravioli with Hierba santa that is filled with suckling pork and topped with grated cheese. Restaurante Catedral also serves meat and seafood dishes, like the roasted beef tenderloin, grilled octopus and fried mullet.

Delicious meal and wonderful staff. Had a reservation on Valentines Day with friends while visiting Oaxaca. Our table was ready on time. We ended up eating here twice

This was the best meal we had in Oaxaca. The location on a terrace open to the sky was beautiful and the food was all delicious. We had one order of mini tacos to start which was just enough to whet our appetites and then followed on with roast suckling pig. At our server's suggestion we had one order which again was perfect for the two of us and had the bonus of leaving room for dessert. The suckling pig, served with hot tortillas and a side of mole, were accompanied by the most delicious mashed potatoes ever. We finished with a special Oaxacan dessert including corn cakes, whipped cream, caramel and mezcal foam - amazing! And then there were the drinks and wine - both excellent, especially the wine. Our server recommended one from Chihuahua that was perfect with the food. And then there was our server, Omar. Wow! Just WOW! Friendly, warm, helpful, with good English. He gave excellent advice and kept an eye on us throughout. After we'd talked about moles, he brought us a side of black mole to try with our suckling pig tacos to compare to the mole type served with them. All in all, it was a delightful evening.

Incredible dining experience! We had a wonderful time, our server Jonni and the entire team were professional and attentive. Our dinner was amazing, each dish delicious, fresh and flavorful. The cocktails were the outstanding and creative. This was our favorite and most memorable meal in Oaxaca. Thank you Restaurante Catedral!

Joli patio tout rouge, belle vaisselle, des plats savoureux bien présentes ainsi qu un très bon service, le tout avec un chanteur et sa guitare pour une ambiance détendue et romantique

Our experience at Restaurante Catedral was simply outstanding. Every aspect that makes for a memorable evening was apparent from the moment we walked into this beautiful restaurant to the last bite of dessert. The food was superbly prepared and so fresh. Aguachile not to be missed, a beautiful salad with fresh berries and a fish of the day, among other delights. The wait staff never intruded or rushed us but always appeared at just the right time. This was by far our favorite dining experience in our ten days in Oaxaca, so much so that we indulged ourselves a second time. A special thank you to Omar, whose friendly and helpful service added so much to our experience! As well, the ambience was warm and elegant without pretentiousness or stuffiness. We hope to return in the future!
