   Really nice venue in a good position. Serving staff were courteous. The food quality and choice was good. Unfortunately the dishes were served tepid...probably they had been left too long after cooking before being collected for service.

   Price is the same but inflation has still got them. The pancakes have reduced from 3 to 2. Quality of the pancakes as dropped a little. Clotted cream and berries compete is still great. Still great service and interior design. Atmosphere is good too.

We're pleased to hear you still enjoyed the clotted cream and berries, the atmosphere, and the service – and it’s lovely to know the interiors continue to make a good impression. Regarding the pancakes, you're absolutely right – we did reduce the portion from three to two some time ago, around five years back in fact. The decision was made as we found many guests were unable to finish the original serving, as the pancakes are quite rich and filling. That said, we’ll certainly pass your comments on to the kitchen team as we’re always looking for ways to keep standards high. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another visit.    Really lovely staff who were friendly and helpful! Great food options for all and very reasonable! Good choice of drinks too! Highly recommend this venue!

   We waited a long time to order and when it arrived some of the food wasn’t not even warm We had to try very hard to get the staff’s attention which was understandable when we arrived as it was busy . But the service was still very slow when the restaurant was quieter .

   Riding House Cafe was as lovely as ever, we love the relaxed atmosphere, good choice of food and drinks and excellent service. Small gripe with the salmon and scrambled in the salmon was left on the red hot plate so started to cook. Other small (and pretentious 1st world) gripe, didnt get our usual table, the one next to which is not quite so nice (I did say it was a first world problem). Oh and Bloody Mary was just as bloody good

    Very warm welcome and immediately felt special. The menu has something for everyone and I was able to eat plant-based with ease. Stunning artichoke dish to start and a really fresh salad as my main. I will definitely go again.
