The first Risotteria Melotti was opened in Isola della Scala, in the region of VERONA, in 2002. The idea of opening a Risotteria in New York came in order to make this typical and traditional italian dish known and cooked by us, with the rice we produce and with the typical old style techniques used in Isola della Scala.

Very enjoyable dinner out with friends while dining at Riso Melotti. The saffron and wild boar risotto was the best. All dishes were very good. We decided to include the special with pumpkin (during the fall harvest season) to share so we had 4 plates for 3 people. I’m sure the desserts would also be very delicious, having seen some other tables with them, but we were full from our delicious meal. We would all return again in the future for our fill of Melotti risotto made with organic rice from Italy.

Great for accommodating various dietary needs. I was able to eat vegan no problem while my mom and friend ate regularly. Didn’t love the vegan dessert option but I’d go back again and try the sorbetto instead.

Felt rushed by staff even tho the dining room was mostly empty- risotto was undercooked …. I’m sure it would have been resolved had we said something- we didn’t but the dessert was AMAZING!

We enjoy risotto very much. This was good but given that it is the restaurant's specialty was expecting something more exceptional.

A dedicated gluten free family-owned eatery with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I’m also dairy free & there were many choices. We ate Fritto Misto (crispy/light fried calamari, shrimps and zucchini battered in rice flour with spicy tomato sauce), salad, and two kinds of risotto: wild mushrooms and with duck breast ragu. The food was beautifully flavorful. A video of their process, from growing and harvesting special rice in Italy to cooking methods, was interesting. There are branches in Rome, Venice, Florence and Verona.

Wonderfully cozy Italian spot with fantastic gluten free options. The staff is super accommodating and kind, and the food is comforting. We shared the avocado cucumber salad, and had the pesto risotto (vegan) and salmon for entrees. Delicious and would recommend

Love this restaurant!! My daughter with celiac is comfortable eating anything here! And now that my husband has gone with me, he's a fan too! I had the pesto risotto and my husband had the lobster special. We both loved our choices! He also had the chocolate cake and loved it! The lovely lady who, I believe owns the restaurant, suggested the perfect wine as well! Perfect night!
