This was my third time at Rix. I made a reservation about a month in advance for a Christmas dinner with friends. They seated us in an area that should not be used in the winter (plastic sheeting was behind me and there was a heater but it did not provide nearly enough heat). The music was so loud we couldn’t hear one another and we were so cold we wore winter jackets the whole time. Our server stopped by every 20-30 minutes. We asked the host about moving tables - they said that wasn’t an option, they did turn down the music and turn up the heaters but it was still very cold and uncomfortable. I ordered their dirty martini extra dirty and it was the worst dirty martini I’ve had, so then I requested a regular vodka dirty martini which also was bland and not “extra dirty”. The server came later and said she heard we were unhappy with the wait on our first round of drinks so she offered free dessert or the first drink comped, which was appreciated. She also informed us a bar tender had to leave for the hospital so that’s why the drinks took longer. We certainly were understanding of that but our concern was misunderstood. It wasn’t the wait on drinks but rather how long she took to ever check on our table and no prior explanation or apology as to the delays. It took over ONE hour before we were able to put our food order in (again / while sitting there freezing). When the entrees arrived, several were incorrect and things were mixed up. She also ended up comping those which was kind but of course would have been ideal to get the entrees as ordered. I’m hopeful this was a one off bad experience. I will certainly request to not sit in this same area in cold weather if I ever do make a group reservation again.

The Rix in Ada does not disappoint. We had a fantastic time and the food was beyond expectations. The menu, although small, is filled with just the right variety of dishes to please most anyone. Service was great, both for awesome flavor and presentation. The dinner was beautifully plated and consistently tasty. Cocktails, while a little pricey, are fun, fancy, with the bartender using "top tier" liquors in his creations. By the way, they have to have the best Creme Brule in town, it's to die for! It was a most enjoyable experience and will definitely eat here again.

The appetizers and drinks were fantastic! I’ve been struggling finding a place with good options for vegans and vegetarians and the polenta tots and not your mother’s meatballs were amazing. The service was excellent and they took care of my daughter’s birthday drink. I will definitely be back!

The atmosphere, the food and ambiance was beyond our expectations. The entire place is stunning with incredible views and every detail was well thought out. It was chic but cozy..we were able to have intimate conversation but with a lively atmotmosphere around which felt warm and inviting. The terrace was warm with heaters and made a really great place to hang out with beautiful lights, greenery and cozy seating to enjoy an after dinner drink! The food was exceptional- the scallops and tenderloin were perfect and the drinks were delicious. The only slightly suprising side was the server started out very kind and attentive, but seemed to quickly lose interest in our table. We had to flag her down for drink refils several times as she never returned to our table once the food was delivered. We would've stayed to enjoy more drinks but eventually couldn't get her attention so we went elsewhere. Other than that, it was an incredible anniversary celebration together!

The food wasn’t great at all. We ordered calamari that was heavily breaded. Super crunchy. Tasted like it came out of the freezer. Our main coarse were scallops. The scallops themselves were good but what they were plated with wasn’t good. Very bland. We also felt rushed by our server. We’ve heard great things but we probably won’t be back.

Great service. Muzak was a bit loud. It would be nice to have a nice bit of bread with our soup & salad we ordered. Great atmosphere. Comfortable seating.

We went for the Thanksgiving dinner they offered . It was exceptional. We arrived with a guest with dietary restrictions, they knew that ahead of time and they accommodated to all her needs 100%. It was our first time there and I can’t wait to come back. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. The whole building was outstanding.
