                                                                                Hi, many thanks for giving me the opportunity to respond to your request. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience, after past visits to Roast that were very good value and enjoyable. I think the issue was the number of people in the restaurant last night. There were 3 times more people than there should have been in the restaurant which meant the noise level was way too high and that there was no space to move. I was crammed against people on all sides, so that it was impossible to get out of my seat very easily. Also, I sent 2 hours having people smash up against me constantly, which was very annoying, as they tried to navigate to the rest rooms. The service level was good considering there were too many people to serve and accommodate. I felt sorry for them as they were asked to work too hard and frenetically. I appreciate that Roast is usually a very fine restaurant with a high reputation, and at this time of year, there will be high demand for bookings. Also, it is a business, and you want to maximise revenue , but you have to balance high demand with maintaining standards. I appreciate that you are trying to accommodate everyone who books a table. Previous visits to Roast had been extremely pleasant, albeit at quieter times of year, with good space between tables. Last night just felt very noisy, frenetic and stressful. I remember Roast being very chilled and relaxing, but that was certainly not the case last night.

                                                                                Food was lovely but squashed too many tables into the room. Room ambience was lovely decorations beautiful. But Far too noisy no room to go to bathroom. Wrong order of side chips arrived. Had to ask 3 times when they would arrive when they did we had finished our meal. Had to ask for more water top ups. 4th time I had been here and only time I have been disappointed Too greedy guys trying to squash too many covers. Would not go back again

                                                                                Had lovely Friendmas dinner catch up with my bestie. We were really looking forward to our meal at Roast. The only thing we felt staff were rushing us to order place our selections and also pay and go once we had our dessert. They told us it’s because they are busy and little strained with the Christmas bookings. I can understand you wish to have a quick turnaround, but making paying guest feel rushed and not appreciated is no excuse.

                                                                                An excellent experience again at Roast. Restaurant all "done up" for Christmas and the atmosphere was great. Service was excellent from start to finish, the food brilliant and so much of it! Very good value and we will return. Thank you.
