I had the lamb as well as my son. We both agreed that the food was delicious, but the lamb had a fair amount of fat around the lamb. For the price for the dish I would rather not have the fat ! But tasty nonetheless. And yes. Without the fat the portion would have quite small but that’s the only comment I have. Thank you

Beautiful setting above Borough Market and good service although very busy. Was slightly disappointed with the food sadly. I must say the lamb was 10 out of 10, however I asked for Medium Rare, it came medium. My partner ordered Medium and it came Medium Well. Never the less it was a lovely meat. Sadly the potatoes were undercooked, hard on the inside and no crispiness on the outside. The Yorkshire pudding was cold and tasteless, and the gravy was watery with also had no taste. Stuffing had to be bought separately (£6.50), and it was overly salty. Pigs in blanket were fine but once again had to be purchased separately. We had vouchers for this meal, however the lamb roasts were £36 each and if we didn’t have those vouchers I would not be impressed with that price for what we were given. Disappointed

Disappointing visit for my birthday. Table right in front of the kitchen. It was hot and noisy. The food was nice. They did bring me a small buscuit with a candle for my birthday. Went through whole main course with no drink as my first drink had finished and nobody came and we had to ask for more drinks. Then charged £25 service. Won't be returning.

Unique position above Borough Market, clockwork service despite being very crowded and quite noisy as a result. Fine meat dishes with copious vegetable accompaniments but very expensive,

Lovely time at Roast. The staff are attentive (but not too attentive!), and the food is fabulous. The decor is very pretty and being above Borough Market with the lights it is a very special location. Julio from Italy was our waiter and he was brilliant as well as being good fun. He was able to provide recommendations on the food and wine, which were successful. The food was exceptional. We will definitely be returning.

I just had a fabulous catch up with my friends at Roast we had breakfast which was absolutely delicious perfectly presented piping hot the staff are lovely and can’t wait to go back maybe for afternoon tea which looks amazing
