- Roly's stunning new fully enclosed heated terrace dining, cocktail & wine bar. The Terrace opens daily from 8:00am (Weekends 9.00am).

This is our new fully enclosed heated terrace - a casual dining alternative to the restaurant. The Terrace is open for breakfast, weekend-brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Our approach is based on producing casual food to the highest standards, whether a simple sandwich or a full dinner. Fresh bread, cakes and desserts are available all day.

The menu is basic - suitable for this bistro style environment but the food quality & taste was also basic. Good but not great - fish cakes & chicken wings overcooked. The service was spotty which no doubt resulted in lost opportunity to upsell. The manner of the manager / supervisor upon leaving & seeking to pay the bill was dismal - no eye contact & no spoken words.

ROLYS have kept their standards consistently good over many years . Thus year was no exception . Food ( scampi dublin bay prawns ) is one of the few places left in dublin to serve scampi with dublin bay prawns . Service excellent by 2 Spanish waitresses from Madrid & Malaga . Wine is much too expensive by the glass - obviously 3 times of a bottle price . This should change .

Delicious supper with lovely cocktails and wine at Rolys. It never disappoints and has kept its standards high over many years. I will be back!

Was looking forward to finally eating at Roly’s but sad to say we were disappointed. The food was ok but the service was …spotty. The food came out too fast (“we need to turn this table over” vibes) and then we waited a long time to be seen to after that. My friend had to ask for the bill four times. Also, it was SO LOUD. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Food was good but the staff either lacking in training/experience and others were just extremely rude. We had a booking for 5:45 but the lady on reception repeatedly told us the restaurant didn’t open till 6pm yet we and other guests behind us had bookings for 5:45. She was extremely rude about this mix up which was clearly theirs in the making, could easily have been sorted but instead she decided to argue with us.

The general experience was positive with the exception of a rude bar man who while sitting at the downstairs bar continued throwing empty bottles into a bin creating unnecessary noise while also being dangerous for bar staff cleaning or emptying the bins due to broken glass - thoughtless

Manager was very abrupt and unwelcoming on arrival. It's not the first time I experienced this at Roly's. Thankfully Waiting staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Food was good as always.
