A style of cooking that lends incredible complexity to the simplest of flavors.Wood fired cooking is a cornerstone of Indian food preparations and Chef Sujan Sarkar delves into the exploration of what is already well known, familiar but bringing it into the contemporary world. ROOH’s mixology team has created 9 brand new seasonal cocktails based on Ayurveda and its six tastes, or rasas The conceptual cocktails infuse the signature smokiness of the wood fired grill and the story telling culture of India. Californian ingredients shine through, as the cocktails evoke the spirit of different Indian cities with their regional inspired names

Rooh has been my favorite place since I first visited the Chicago location. It never lets me down! It’s the perfect spot for a family gathering, catching up with friends, or a romantic dinner. I love everything - the food, the cocktails, the atmosphere. Another thing I really appreciate is that the waitstaff is always the same, so whenever I come to Rooh, I know I’ll see them. Highly recommend this place!

Overall good food, great ambience but they really rushed us at the 9:30 reservation. Would recommend not having a 9:30 slot if the restaurant can’t even give an hour to someone eating dinner.

Did not meet our expectations based on the viewing on TV'S Check Please show that reviewed Rooh. The large plates we selected were disappointing in the amount of food except for the Butter Chicken. For the prices charged by Rooh we expected enough food to share, as we were told. I could go on, but I just won't be recommending Rooh to our friends for an exceptional dining experience.

Everything seemed like precooked - when asked for slight change in spice level, they couldn’t do it and rather got hot sauce on side. Food and experience not worth the money!!
