Welcome to the NEW "Sal Rosa Island Kitchen and Bar"! Get ready to savor all the flavors of our Caribbean and Central American inspired cuisine. Created by Head Chef Jennifer Salhoff, a "Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey" finalist. Our NEW Handcrafted Island Cocktails Menu are sure to excite and delight!

Sal Rosa is located on the second floor of the Le Meridien Hotel in Downtown Tampa, the city's historic 100 year old former courthouse. Our historic meets modern atmosphere is unparalleled to any other in the area with marbled walls, modern décor and historic pieces throughout the space. Ask your bartender or server about the buildings history!
Monday-Friday: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Saturday and Sunday: Brunch 7am-2pm.

Excellent food and service. Really nice ambience. All our food was great and the sever and host went above and beyond. Definitely will come back.

Our waiter Larry was very kind and struck up a nice conversation with my son about hockey. We loved the shrimp and pork belly apps. Did the 3 course menu (app, entree and gelato for $50) and were quite pleased! The hazelnut and peanut butter cookies and cream gelato were so good!

I had my 48th birthday dinner here on 01/04/2025 and felt so welcomed. The food was great and the staff were phenomenal.

Food was terrible. They had one server on the floor so getting a hold of him was difficult, not his fault at all.

I created a 2:00 pm reservation, but the restaurant was closed at 2:00. one of the employees, Jorge, talked to the kitchen and came back and said they could seat us, but they were closed. we didn't want to be a problem so we went to a different restaurant

A pretty cool place with old items from the courthouse weaved into the decor. Jorge our server was super cool. I had the chicken and waffles which was unique but just ok. My friends had more traditional brunch items and liked their dishes. I would go back for dinner and the ambience.

I used to come here often (different concept) and really liked it - this weekI brought some business guests for lunch, The server took our glasses back from the table one by one to fill. Admitted he forgot to enter the appetizer so it came after entrees. The curry vegetable bowl - curry was nice but cauliflower broccoli snap peas were steamed or microwaved and so boring for $30. The food was fine, not great. Then the bill for 3 came 150 for 3 entrees, 1 appetizer-no alcohol 2teas and a water. He didn’t give me an itemized bill and I was sure it was wrong, so embarrassingly had to request it. Such a beautiful and great location. Real bummer.

We had the thanksgiving meal special menu there and was pleasantly surprised. The turkey was delicious and juicy. Great flavor. The ambience was nice, I would have liked it to be a little more dim to give it a little more of an elevated fine dining look, but it was not a deal breaker. The service was fine, a little slow for it not being crowded, but I honestly looked past that considering it was thanksgiving day and they may not have been fully staffed. Our server was good and she had a great personality. The Bartender was also very nice and turned what would have been a standard vodka club soda into something with more flavor without breaking the bank. Overall, it was a very good experience. I would like to go back again on a regular night.
