Salt Yard is an award-winning charcuterie bar and restaurant serving modern tapas inspired by the flavours and produce of Spain and Italy.

The tapas are complemented by charcuterie and cheese boards and we have a wide selection of excellent wines and sherries. Flexibility is key to Salt Yard. Customers can enjoy a full spread of tapas: or come in simply for a glass of red wine and a plate of cheese, a coffee and a delicious pudding, or even just a perfect martini and a handful of Marcona almonds.

Located in central London – a two minute walk from Goodge St tube station and a five minute walk from Oxford Circus – we are perfectly placed for a business lunch, a pre-theatre meal or a night out with friends.

We had a nice light meal here. A few sharing plates between us. Everything was very nice and the ham was especially good. Also I was very impresssed with the DA VERO BIOLOGICO, DOC (NERO d'AVOLA) SICILY, which was one of the cheaper red wine options, but hit the spot.

Food was absolutely stunning, every dish we tried was quite delicious. If you are into tapas, this is the place to go!

Some highlights on the menu: croquettes, artichoke (wow!) and the courgette flower. Everything else was ok (cod, pork). My cheesecake was burned so I just ate the inside bits. Service and ambience were ok, bit loud as tables very close.

Good choice of food, friendly service (provided by Maria and Merie) and nice ambience all created a pleasant evening. Definitely for the list for repeat visits.

A few things from us. Please play som more relaxed music and maybe turn it down. Why not play some Spanish music? It became a bit stressful to listen to. The food was not as good as expected. The scampi (pil pil) did not taste of chili and garlic. The beef was ok. The lamb was not that tasteful and did not really taste like lamb? The service was good and the waitress nice and serviceminded

The food wasn’t that great and the prices were extortionate for what it was. They kicked us out because there was another booking coming. We couldn’t finish our drinks, they rushed us out bringing our coats even before we were ready to leave. Cocktails were decent, but again extremely expensive and really small.

First time we visited Salt Yard was on a Thursday evening. The food was excellent, service was good. The only negative would be the tables for 2 people were very close together (too close where diners struggled to squeeze through). The time we visited was very busy & the restaurant was very loud, If you are looking for a lively evening with great food the time we went is perfect. We would go back to Salt Yard but at a different time of day. We’ve been to the Opera Tavern many times & the atmosphere is “calmer”.
