Food is great, but visit only if you've got time to kill.... Have dined here twice, once dinner and this time brunch. Food and presentation is best in the surrounding area. Waitstaff is very friendly. Host indicated that they did not log into Open Table, so could not confirm reservation...though they slid us in anyway. Both times the kitchen was backed up and took over an hour after order to get meal.

Service was poor. The waiter took forever to bring water and drinks, the table bread also took forever to come out to the table. I understand if the bread is still in the over but at least let your table know because it sure felt like they forgot to bring bread out to the table and took bread to all other tables. We ordered an appetizer but we’re not given any small plates for us to serve our appetizers on. When I asked the hostess walking back to the front she only brought 3 plates for a table of 4 said she’d bring back a 4th plate but never did. The waiter didn’t even check up on us during the appetizers and when the food finally came I had to remind him we ordered wine when the appetizers were ordered for him to bring us the drinks. And lastly the waiter was left with a cash tip but decided to tip himself an extra $30 on top of his cash tip using the paper receipt in which my sister had marked $0 for tip on the card due to the tip being given in cash.

Came here for Mother’s Day, made reservations in advance and still had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seated. Staff was completely overwhelmed. While we waited I watched the bartender make the service well drinks and then the drinks sat there for 5-10 minutes, absolutely no sense of urgency to get the drinks to the guests. Food took 40 minutes to arrive, and during that time from our server taking our order until it arrived, he never once stopped by our table to see if we needed another drink or to let’s us know what the status of our order was. Meanwhile, I watched our server ring in other tables orders with his pen in his mouth, and then grab it with his hands, bussers sticking their hands in guests drinks to manicure them off tables after they left. Health violations everywhere. Food was underwhelming, drinks ok, service horrible. First and last visit here.

First I will say it was Mother’s Day so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Many years in restaurant service has taught me not only how it should be done but also to be patient when things are obviously not going well. I was sat at 8:30a and it took 30 mins for anyone to bring water/coffee etc. the server did apologize and explained he was the bartender also and it was clear he was thrown into the lions pit. I felt for the guy. After a bit I observed more staff arriving. Our server was running around like crazy while some of the others showed ZERO urgency. The owner(?) was the same although we observed him being not so nice to our server. How about helping instead of berating the poor kid? Many of the staff including the owner/manager walked around a lot empty handed. Suggestion: those walking around empty handed could be refilling empty coffee cups or iced tea, etc. my auntie sat for an hour before one kid finally stopped and noticed our coffee cups were empty. We asked for refills. She got hers. Me not so much. I only really cared about hers. So out of a staff of what ended up to be around 8-10 ppl two young kids and an older woman (who served out food 1.25 hours later) ended up being the “good” staff. Yes, I use that word loosely…for now. They were very unorganized, seemed they had some who were new/untrained, some who just didn’t help. They definitely were not ready for a large, busy day like Mother’s Day. With that said, we will give them another chance on a normal day or for dinner. I hope they take this and any other negative feedback and use it for the positive in the future. I hope for local restaurants to so well!

We had a reservation at 5:30 which was a great idea because it was very busy. We got in quickly and had a chance to settle in before our waitress came over. She was absolutely pleasant and very attentive. The drinks and food were excellent!! We enjoyed everything about the visit and the service. We’ve been here several times and every time has been great. That’s why we keep coming back. Keep up the amazing service and food!! Delicious!

Excellent food and service. Our server Monica was friendly, attentive, and very pleasant. Highly recommend for a casual meal out.

Great server, they were just short staffed so he was working g like crazy, but service was just a little delayed. Delicious food!

Scalzotto no longer honors Open Table Reservations. We were lucky that it was not busy and were able to be seated. Service was very good and attentive but not intrusive. Drink and food orders were taken quickly. Food was not as good as usual with the bruschetta being overly garlicky and the chicken in the piccata being overcooked but still tasty. Spaghetti is a generous portion with a large tender meatball. The bread served with dinner is amazing and the oil with herbs that comes with it is yummy too. Chianti was nice and a generous pour for $10 a glass.

Our first time dining at Scalzotto for breakfast. We will be back. Nice selection of dishes. And as always the service was great!
