   I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sea Root at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey on March 10th. with my family, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. We were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived and quickly seated, which set a positive tone for the evening. Our waitress provided exceptional service, Cienna was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant’s ambience was very inviting and comfortable, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed dinner. As for the food, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish was full of flavor and expertly prepared, making it clear that Sea Root takes pride in its culinary offerings. Overall, I highly recommend Sea Root for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful meal in Monterey. It’s definitely worth the visit, and I look forward to returning in the future! Next day visit at Sea root 3/11/2025 I had an unfortunate experience at Sea Root after what started off as an excellent dinner the day before. Sadly, the service was a complete letdown the next day. The restaurant was slow today 3/11/2025 that I didn’t even bother booking a table. Once seated, it took quite a while for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks. After we ordered our meals, we had to wait 15-20 minutes for our food to arrive. The waitress seemed distracted, spending more time chatting with her colleagues than attending to our table. When we finished our meals, we had to wait again for her to ask if we wanted take-out boxes. It was a completely different experience from the night before, and it honestly felt like we were in a different restaurant altogether. I wish Cienna, who had served us so well the day before, had been there to take care of us again. It was a disappointing experience, and I hope they can improve their service in the future and hire more staff just like Cienna.

   Server very busy and appeared to be understaffed , we waited 15 for drink order to be taken and 30min for wine to arrive, then another 45 min for food to arrive. Server was doing her best in bad situation. Food was cold upon arrival. Food was decent but not remarkable.

   We hade dinner with our familia. The food was disappointing, mozarela pizza almost without cheese, kids pizza spicy.

   The chef was amazing and he came out and introduced himself to us which made thanksgiving more special.

   What I lay for the food overprice for the amount of meats they have not many to choose I won’t recommend $84.00 plus $32.00 tips for just give me waters is not a good place to eat your family or friend dinner

   We enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet at Sea Root. Last year we tried the buffet at a different hotel and were so disappointed. This experience was the complete opposite. Service was warm and friendly, the options were quality, and we were treated as valued customers. I would definitely splurge on the Thanksgiving buffet at Sea Root again and hope to enjoy regular dining there as well.

   what a great way to end the day, we enjoyed full day of golf, headed to spa and then enjoyed later dinner. This was delicious and fit for all of us, great fresh options, linguine was amazing and tasty. Thankful they seated us earlier than reservation definitely would return for hotel and restaurant
