   The price exceeded the experience. The restaurant doesn’t take advantage of its location as the patio seating with cheap dividers and cheaper furniture minimizes rather than maximizes the proximity to the water. The owners should reflect on the patio experience there 20+ years ago; that was how it should be. A rare steak ordered was served medium and had to be returned, leaving the balance of the plate to cool; not good. The service was very good. Desert from Gratify was unavailable, a bad decision by management and no other dairy free deserts were offered.

   Love Shaughnessy's Cove! We had lunch with friends. It wasn't too busy but by the time we left it was filling up. Three of us had Tuna Poke Bowl and it was delicious. One had eggplant burger with an Italian salad. The food was just excellent and well presented. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful and took time in telling us about the menu and specials.

   Great staff, good food, cool music (hubby was Shazaam all night), nice vibe. Went two nights in a row.

   Reservation was easy online. On arrival, we were able to sit out on the patio, facing the lake; although it was a little windy as it often is in this area, we had no problems holding down menus and napkins. Our server (unfortunately we did not retain her name) was fabulous: not intrusive, was attentive, friendly, did not make it seem like we were rushed to finish. Drinks were made very well-I asked if the bartender could make a specific drink that was not on the menu, and he was actually excited to do it, since people apparently don't often ask for modern cocktails, and he did a great job, even improvising one of the ingredients. The food was well presented, tasted fabulous, cooked to perfection. We had tempura shrimp appetizers that had a sambal sauce drizzle that was to die for. For main course I had the steak with mushrooms and vegetables, my spouse had chicken alfredo. The pasta was homemade and my spouse loved the dish and how the chicken tasted. The portions were perfect for me and we had to doggy-bag my spouse's. For desert we had a turtle pie cheesecake, which was amazing! We were celebrating an anniversary; when our server found out, she deducted the dessert from the bill. Altogether an outstanding experience; highly recommend this restaurant.

   We were visiting Summerland for one night at the Waterfront Resort and had lunch and a birthday dinner at Shaughnessy's Cove. Staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Food was very good and because it was my birthday, I got a cheesecake birthday cake with a sparkler! There were tv's so we could watch the NHL Playoffs as well. A pleasant day all together! Thank you.

    I ordered the tuna bowl for myself. The food was well plated and the individual food items were fresh. The problem was that the dressing was very bland. It seems that it’s all about presentation but no thought given to how the food actually tastes. Will not be returning.

    Thanks for your review Doug, and it's disappointing to hear the tuna salad fell short. I'll have a look into the prep procedures to make sure this doesn't happen again. We do try to make delicious food for all who visit us, and I'd like to prove that to you. Let me know if you'd be willing to give me that shot! Thank you again for your time.
