The newly renovated Fairmont Breakers is stunning from lobby to roof! The decor is giving Great Gatsby vibes with gorgeous architectural details and luxurious decor everywhere you look. The designers really nailed the elegant interiors and give you a sense of old world style mixed with modern moments. Catch the sunset up at Halo’s rooftop with a cocktail and a view of Long Beach’s iconic port before heading down to dinner reservations at the Sky Room. Each course we had was delicious and it was refreshing to find unique options on the menu such as (the chef’s special) potato custard with caviar, and Baked Alaska for our birthday dessert. Their beet salad is to die for and also uniquely made - it is a must to try. Beef Wellington is a treat to see as an option and I’d order that next time with a bigger party as it’s meant to be shared with others. The trout was exquisite and we enjoyed the crispy skin with mushrooms and parsnips “hash browns” laid on top of a brown butter sauce. Divine. The table side experience of apple streusel set ablaze with fire was the perfect dramatic ending to our special birthday celebration for my best friend. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an amazing night out!

Our first experience at the renovated Sky Room was fantastic! The food was amazing, especially the bananas foster made at the table. Our waiter was amazing and served our every need. Thank you for an extra special evening.

Phenomenal experience, gorgeous setting wonderful service. The food was delicious and very prompt. We had the Beef, Wellington and the Spanish pork both were delicious. Crabcakes were also delicious. Well presented lots of crab good flavor again phenomenal experience, and I would consider it a very good value for the level of food and service. The ambience is very elegant, art deco. but low-key and quiet enough so we could have a nice conversation.

Beautiful location and restaurant, took a little too long to be served. Waiter was excellent, Augustine I believe was his name. The caviar was exquisite, buttery, with a smooth finish, the crab cake was good, the beef Wellington was beautiful, but I expected a bit more flavor, the dirty martini wasn't obscenely dirty. The part of the evening that was memorable for the wrong reason was the lack of dress code, there was a person with a beanie on, another person in jeans, and I saw somebody with shorts on and a shirt that looked like it was out of the dirty clothes. When spending 500-700 for dinner, and dressed appropriately for a Fairmont dinning room, I expect that the patronage would be held to a higher standard. This would not be acceptable at the Four Seasons

Sharing this review in the hopes that the Sky Room makes it. Our two cents… The space is gorgeous. Really beautiful. Our server was very nice. Cocktails were on point. The food was good, but not great… as such the cost of the meal was completely off base. Based on the reviews we read, we made our reservation knowing that this was a possibility, but we decided to give it a try. Really hoping that either the pricing gets in line with the actual offering or that you elevate the fare so that we don’t even blink at the bill. We would love for this to be a new go-to date night spot.
