                                                                                          Excellent stop as we travel. We target where locals eat, no chains, and if you like greek food reasonably priced, check this place out. I know its a strip mall, but trust us!

                                                                                          I sent work folks there from Boston that were staying in D.C. area for a conference. We wanted to avoid the d.c. area giving the political events and this was a great option in Alexandria. It is located in a strip mall but the food was excellent, and the service was also great. My group was very happy and they were able to accommodate our group of 8. We did make a reservation. Thanks so much.

                                                                                          Smyrna has become one of my favorite restaurants. It is like escaping into a little Greek world. The food is delicious, the servers are friendly.

                                                                                          I have been to the restaurant four times and this was the most disappointing. For context, this was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was at about half the capacity. First, we ordered a kids kofte for a youth and we got the adult platter and cost. We ordered a soup that did not come. The kofte in the Aegean kofte entree were quite small (and not just smaller and more plentiful) for the typical method of Turkey. We know because one of us is from Turkey and all of us have spent a lot of time there with family. Lastly, the lamb chops are overpriced for the size and quantity. They would be amazing if grilled but seemed baked but for $28 I want more than three thin chops. The owner needs to revisit the menu and the preparation.
